    Re-bonding rabbits

Thanks for sharing. Its always helpful to hear of the different circumstances that can create a rift. The bonds seem so strong, yet so fragile! If just one rabbit stresses it can really freak the other out and they react to each other.

    Re-bonding rabbits

As far as the buns daytime free roam.... how is this set up in relation to their nighttime residence? Is that all in the same area? Do you just open the doors to each of their pens to let them out during the day? or do you retire them to an entirely different area? What do you have arranged...

My Foster will ONLY eat greens and has Snuffles.......

I will try that (so you don't bake them, just let them dry?) I have seen some recipes that have either applesauce or banana (obviously introducing sugar) ....but I AM trying to get him to eat...... and Thank you.

My Foster will ONLY eat greens and has Snuffles.......

Thank you . That is helpful. It seems that "forage" is a widely used term so that helps. Just so frustrating bc he will eat hard bisquits and seems starving when I go to give him one or his greens. But has no interest in hay or pellets. (??!!!) Any Opinion on the video?

My Foster will ONLY eat greens and has Snuffles.......

First off - thank you also for your reply. This was kind of where I was going with the whole snuffles thing (worried about an actual dental problem) But I guess without xrays - it may not be discoverable. We spare no expense when it comes to getting our buns treated. We have invested over...

My Foster will ONLY eat greens and has Snuffles.......

First - off - Thank you for your replay. I attached a video if it will play. Turn up the volume! It is not teeth grinding as it may sound....he does it more when excited or stressed. You can see he is excited for treats & will take a crunchy treat (thats why I was thinking healthy cookies)...

My Foster will ONLY eat greens and has Snuffles.......

Obviously, ONLY eating Greens is a concern for many reasons. He has a stubborn flareup of his snuffles - he has been actively noisy for a few months now - though it is not in his lungs and he does not have any discharge. Trying anoJust starting a different antibiotic - but thats another...

    New Zealand or Flemish ?

That’s why it’s so confusing . I have looked at picts … I’ve seen two different head shapes - one more narrow , one more squared….. though I see that shown in photos of both breeds ! (?) both seem to have really long ears …same body type and same coat ! ???

    New Zealand or Flemish ?

Is there a way to distinguish if a 12lb solid black rabbit is New Zealand or Flemish? Is one's fur slightly longer, or ones head slimmer/larger/smaller in proportion? There doesn't seem to be any good info online how they are different other than weight - which 12lb could be either. Too bad...

    Rabbit peeing on bed

Our 4 year old (neutered) male started coming into our bedroom last year at night when we would go to bed & he would lay at the end , but come up for to us for visits and ended up peeing on the bed on two ocassions and we couldn't have that!!.. Likely marking and establishing this was a new...

Is Burlap safe for rabbit to chew?

I tried searching this but couldn't find anything that I trust. I have access to some burlap bags (from coffee beans) and wondering if that would make a good toy/bed whatever. I have read the fibers are too long for them to chew - but I also read it is made of jute and sisel. Has anyone...

Lop's ears, what would cause this?

Nothing like that. The ONLY thing that I can think of is one of my cats has decided that he likes the convenience of rabbits litter box , and doesn't smell like HIS lol). Its definitely not a regular occurrence, since I caught him pee in it several months ago - I added a petsafe invisible...

Lop's ears, what would cause this?

Thank you JBun for your input on this. Its SO nice to run things by this forum with people that take it serious and are knowledgeable people such as yourself. No, nothing like that. Yeah, I know - it's weird. Kind of why I was wondering if anyone had ever run across it. I have fostered...

Lop's ears, what would cause this?

So to follow up a little.... the ears are definitely getting less irritated looking, the area is reducing, and the crust is beginning to peel off a little.... I included another pict. I did make an appt at the vet, but they can't get me in for 10 days - so I will see what it looks like in...

Lop's ears, what would cause this?

Okay....I will definitely make an appt. I just thought I would see something "IN" the ear if it were ear mites. So to clarify, It won't always show up on the inside? (more towards the ear canal?)

Lop's ears, what would cause this?

My lop has an area of "irritation" ? in both his ears. The inside of his ears are otherwise clean, this is well outside his ear canal, just on the skin side on both of his ears - strictly in those similar areas on both ears. Did he maybe just over groom? I have included pictures. It...

    Bunny Bonding Advice

I am definitely going to watch this post to see what others say …. but in my past experience with introducing buns for bonding ( and I know these have already spent time near each other as well ) …. But I feel as long as Phoenix doesn’t turn on Arizona when she digs him like that …and she then...

Separating (same sex) littermates and mom...

As an active foster, many surrenders come to us already pregnant, or as a very young litter. We have limited space for fostering, so its of course helpful to keep litters together as long as we can. Having confirmed they are same sex , and there is no fighting going on, is there a certain age...
