Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

Yeah, my male rabbit is kind of being a pain… He will not eat any lettuce, or dandelion greens… I’m trying to find something he will eat that I can feed as much as I would lettuce. So far I haven’t found anything he likes. I’ll try dandelion greens with his sister though 🙂

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

She’s been eating romaine lettuce, she has been eating it for about 3 weeks. She seems to like it but she won’t eat much of it. she will eat a piece like the size of two quarters, but then she kind of hops away and doesn’t want the rest.

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

He’s not eating dandelion greens either… next I’m going to try ecarole or endive. My other rabbit Josie, his sister, she is eating lettuce but I will give her about a half cup, she’s been eating it for a while and has had no runny poops, but she doesn’t eat it all immediately. She might eat a...

Okay, thanks! At that website it says things like dandelion greens, we have LOTS of that. Can I feed the same amount as I would lettuce?

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

Ugh. He won’t eat any red or green leaf lettuce, or romaine! Can he have a salad with no lettuce? What would I do instead of lettuce?

My 6 month is on baby pellets, what do I do from here?

So my 6 month old male, Milo, is on the pellets attached below, I’m introducing him to greens right now. When do I start giving him adult pellets? And what do you all recommend for adult pellets? We accidentally bought WAYY to much of these baby pellets. I don’t really know what to do with the...

Do male rabbits have a dewlap?

Okay, so my male (well pretty sure he’s a male). Has a big dewlap. But his sister, ( pretty sure she’s a girl) the same age, doesn’t. Do males have dewlaps as well as females? Brown is the male, blue of female (or so I think, lol)

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

Okay. I’ll check the house rabbit society, but I read that things like broccoli and kale are really gassy and it said to have two table spoons of things like that? I don’t know if it’s true but that’s what I read. I’m going to try to get him to have another kind of lettuce and see if he eats it.

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

Well, the location is actually wrong on my profile, we are in Maine now. So yes, we have access to lots of grass and weeds, we have a garden too we can grow in. I was reading for a rabbit salad they do like a cup of romaine and maybe some dill or parsley, or some other herb. But he still won’t...

I’m trying to get my make rabbit to let me pick him up.

Thank you for these, I will definitely try it. He’s already letting me touch his belly and he doesn’t seem to even care!

Trying to introduce greens to my six month old bunny

So my bunny, Milo, isn’t even touching his romaine lettuce. His sister tried it the first time I gave it to her, it took like a few hours but she ate it. It’s been like 4 days with Milo, I just leave it in his cage hoping he will get curious and take a nibble, but he won’t!
