What color of Holland Lops do I have?

Adorable!! To me, it looks like a broken chocolate vienna marked buck. It looks a little too chocolate for a lilac, but it could be the lighting. I agree the female looks like a solid chocolate (possible vienna carrier, if she is from the same litter).

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

THIS IS AN UPDATE FOR ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH FUR MITES ON THEIR RABBIT AND NEEDS AN AT-HOME TREATMENT. *This is something I tried on my rabbit after many local breeders recommended it, it most definitely could help your rabbit but I do not make any guarantees, just my experience :)* For anyone...

    Doe nesting early

Oh yes, it may be her time to retire and become a pet only 💕 Is one of the bucks you used in the passed still available? How old is Reece's?

    Doe nesting early

What's her age? I recommend retirement at about 4 years old depending on the bunny. How often do you breed her? I normally do it in a cycle of two litters closer together with a few weeks between for her to reset, then a longer break during time when the market is bad, like summer time. The...

    Doe nesting early

Hmmm... from how you are describing her, I don't see why she isn't taking. Normally spring is a good time to breed them, as they are more willing. Could you please give me some information on her past litters? Such as litter size, age, and how many times she has been bred, etc.

    Doe nesting early

Okay phew, thankfully that's not too many (I was picturing 10-15). Seeing as they didn't have to pay and know there is a waiting time, I would be honest with them and tell them this litter didn't work with Godiva (perfect name for her BTW!!). Mention when your next expected litter is (then...

    Doe nesting early

Wow she is beautiful! Chocolate gets me every time ❤️ She looks like a big(er) girl, I'm guessing 4 lbs.? Which is a good size for breeding and she should have no issues during labor. It's the smaller girls I worry about. It's hard to tell from pictures, but she doesn't look extremely...

    Doe nesting early

I agree that is quite strange, normally their behavior is similar during every pregnancy. Some stay sweet, and others can be very moody! Do you have any pictures of her? It could be that she is overweight, etc. It is a bit late for it now, but weighing her with a baby scale, palpating, or...

    Doe nesting early

Also, did you happen to weigh her right before the breeding? That is one of the most tried and true ways to determine if they are pregnant. They should gain a few ounces on the month they are pregnant. Since she is still early in her pregnancy, you could weigh her now and in about 10 days which...

    Doe nesting early

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that she didn't take! It's always a disappointment, especially considering this was going to be her last litter that must be hard for you :( One of my does always starts digging about halfway through her pregnancy. For this reason, I don't give her blankets or anything...

    Buck or doe

It looks like a buck to me, but quite hard to tell! If you could provide more pix that would be great.

How can I improve bun's area?

I love how much room she has to run around! The only suggestion I can make is that for enrichment and fun, subscribe to a bunny subscription box such as Bunnies That Lunch for a never-ending supply of treats and toys!

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

Okay I will, I appreciate your honest advice! As for ivermectin, I currently have rabbit Panacur on hand which I use as a dewormer. Is this something I should give orally? I have used it on her in the past and she has had no bad reactions to it. I do not believe she is a Vienna carrier, but I do...

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

Flea and tick spray is something I use regularly as a preventative measure, even though my rabbits live indoors. As I mentioned earlier, a&d is a common ointment that is gentle enough to be used on babies. Of course, anything I apply on her I've used before to minimize risk! I am suspecting she...

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

Yes I believe it is fur mites too. Sorry to confuse you, she lives by herself and is spayed. She is 4+ years old, I have definitely noticed some more health problems pop up now that she is older! The babies are from my other girl bunny, but live in a cage next to Missy's. They do not have direct...

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

It is a spot of dry skin, I have narrowed it down and I'm pretty sure she has fur mites 😕 Seeing as I just discovered this, I'm awaiting to hear back from my vet (*still*) but in the meantime what is the best treatment? I have been using a flea comb to comb out any excess fur, and have been...

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

Yes that is what I am going to do this afternoon! I normally always check RabbitsOnline and ask a few of my rabbit savvy friends first because... like many of us... I'd like to save money where I can 😉 but definitely not at the expense of one of my rabbits life/serious issue!! I'll be monitoring...

    How to discourage rabbit jumping??

Thank you 🥰 Lola is beautiful, love the name too! I bred this litter specifically for the reason to keep a girl blue eyed white, I am so happy there were 2 for me to choose from! Her name is going to be Moxie - it really flows with my other pet bunnys' name, Missy. She will *hopefully* be a free...

Help! Mysterious rabbit rash / scabbing?

Missy, my 4-year-old Netherland Dwarf / Lionhead mix has a mysterious rash that suddenly appeared this morning on the nape of her neck (or whatever it is called... basically that area behind her head on her shoulders). She itches it every now and again but does not seem to be bothering her too...
