I know I'm hardly on any more, but I could use some good thoughts for my old man Loki. I came home from a week-long vacation and he is not eating. I don't know when he stopped. A 13-year-old neighbor girl was pet sitting for us but judging from the fact she didn't notice the cats pooping outside the litter boxes (five times! seriously!) she probably wouldn't have noticed whether or not Loki was actually eating.

All he's eaten today is 1-2 sunflower seeds. He let his wifebun Mocha eat the rest. He's refused pumpkin and his favorite herbs and has been sitting with his tummy pressed to the floor. I can't feel anything in his stomach- it's very soft. We gave simethicone an hour ago and just did massages and tummy vibrations. I'll give him a little time before syringing fluids and food. He is shedding heavily and tends to get minor gas issues during heavy molts.

Oh, and unless a miracle happened since his last blood test over a year ago, he has almost no immune system. :(

Oh my goodness, poor little Loki!! I hope your little old man gets better soon. As a bunowner going through the whole stasis deal, too, its a terrible situation. My boy just started nibbling hay today, he's been pushing away food since Thursday. :( Good thoughts for you and Loki!!

Poor dude. I hope what you've done will solve the problem. I worry so much about our guys when we go out of town--so much so that we board them at the vet.

Will have you and Loki in my thoughts. It is always so worrying when they stop eating. I hope he turns around soon and starts eating.

Praying for Loki! I just went through this with my Hope, now I am paranoid. Hope Loki will be feeling better soon & eating well. Please keep us updated as you can. Bunny hugs to you & Loki.

Thanks, everyone! He's doing better. He's eating a little on his own, I saw him poop, and he looks much more comfortable. The little booger had me worried though because he wasn't fighting the meds or syringed food yesterday. Usually it's like giving meds to a wild weasel.
