What do I do? WHAT DO I DO!!

So many of you know that Franklin my frenchie is a rabbit hater. I have a couple of failed attempts at bonding him. However an opportunity to get one of Wendy's Frenchies possibly has come up. EEEEEEEEK!! Maybe I should message Wendy first and let her know I'm interested.

However. Do I try this again or just let him be? I kind of want to take him to a rescue and let him find someone. Last time though he really misbehaved. We made it through two rabbits before we were kindly asked to leave. However around Christmas time he for some reason hung out with Kai before he decided he hated him again. But this is a Wendy frenchie. I am so close to temptation. Frenchies are the best.

I personally really really want another Frenchie. But I think Franklin gets bored and lonely when he's not with us. But he really loves the attention we give him. Somedays it's alot somedays it's a little.

So the pros and cons are a little blurred.

I also forgot to mention I'm leaving for a lengthy period of time. But my perfectly capable husband and parents will be here.

My rational side is saying no. But the rest of me is SCREMING YES PLEASE!

Maybe Wendy wont even have any available does. Should probably message her.

AHHHHHHHH!

Aww it's a tough decision :)

The longer I read about bonding the more I tend to believe that any rabbit can be bonded. I won't say that with 100% certainty yet.....haha....but I'm leaning more towards that.

When I research/read about failed bunny bonds usually you can pinpoint *why* ....ie unfixed bun, moved too fast, introduced on NONneutral territory,,,,,and lastly,,,,,gave up too soon (which I have to say is the most common, I think people tend to jump to conclusions and say my bunny will never bond because there was one fight or two and they stopped)
Sooooo, with all that being said, Franklin *may* be able to bond....but the last failed attempts for you do fall under those categories ;) and as far as giving up....heck...that's where I' probably be if my two weren't as easy. I admit bunny fights scare amd intimidate me to death! So I'm not judging by what I'm saying at all! Only offering my 2 cents......

So, Id ask yourself if you want to put in the time....can you put in the time with your full plate? Because it could be weeks or even months given franklins disposition. So it comes down to what each individual can and wants to handle.

Still doesn't make the decision any easier.....that's just my 2 cents though.......:)

I agree to an extent. Just Franklins idea of a scuffle is to fillet his opponent open. Thankfully Kai is so thick and hasnt required stiches yet but they both have very scarred ears from their fighting. And it was relatively easy to bond Shya and Kai. Go figure.

Plus conventional methods kind of dont work with Franklin. He's not afraid of the bathtub and he isn't nervous traveling in a kennel or the car. And he's already claimed the yard as his kingdom.

I was thinking even if I got a baby by the time I got back she would be ready for a spay and some bonding. Plus a new house with all neutral territory.

ARGH!
