I will be going on vacation to my cabin in the mountains and since there will be no one to take care of my bunny, I was wondering if anyone knew of an easy to put up, tear down, and transport home/cage?

Any sites to look at or suggestions.

When we travel ours stay in an xtra large dog crate or an x-pen out in the garage. No doubt about it they prefer their pens at home but no worse for the wear and they do it quite frequently. Xpen folds down much easier and takes up less space then their airline approved kennels

How about an xpen with an office chair mat (for wood floors/no pins to grip the carpeting) as the flooring to prevent accidents? It works for me & is quite portable. Oh, I would also recommend at least a sheet covering to prevent bunny from jumping out to explore on his/her own & to make them feel a bit more secure in the xpen. You can use wooden clothes pins to "secure" the sheet covering to the xpen.

An online friend of mine had a pop-up style rabbit tent thing for indoors. Not suitable if you're rabbit is a chewer, but for the life of me I can't find anything like it online.

For in the car, a hard cat carrier will work. A small wire cage will also work if you have a large rabbit or pair.
For when you are there, an x-pen or wire dog crate will work. Both fold up easily and are not too heavy. An x-pen will require something to protect the floor, such as a small tarp. Both can fit a litter box, dishes, toys and give space to move around. If your rabbit is a jumper, you should get a taller pen or the crate as it has a top.

What I have done when staying in hotels is to lay down a tarp, then a towel and fleece and put the pen up so the fleece goes past the edge. This makes it easy to clean up and protects the floor.

Depending on how long your are staying and what facilities you have, you should take at least 2 sets of bedding. Having a washer is ideal, but you can at least rinse out towels and fleece and hang them up to dry. Puppy pads can be good under fleece, they don't take up much space and can be thrown out after.

It's a cabin that has electricity and running water but no washer and dryer. I would have to run into town to go to the laundry mat. It will only be from a Thursday night to Sunday afternoon. Some other information: she is litter trained, she likes to chew (but not all the time), the place we are staying has a small area with wooden floor but it's located by a fire place other wise the rest of the place is carpeted, I have a hard cat carrier for the trip in the car which will only be about an hour

I think that's about all the details that I can add that might help.

$6 tarp from walmart + x-pen. my bunnies had a tarp for ages before I switched to plastic garage tiling and they're perfectly happy to sleep right on the tarp/hard tile - in fact, they seemed to prefer it to the fleece they had in the condo before they ruined the fleece and made me take it away. I wouldn't use puppy pads, they could be harmful if chewed on and ingested.

Thumpers cage right now is a large dog cage. It is black wire and collapsible so it can fit easily in a car. It has a plastic bottom so no wire to be standing on and spills just wipe up. You simply unhook the front and back and fold into the interior and then the rest folds and collapses on itself. To set up you do the opposite. It only takes a minute and can easily be done by one person. They come in different sizes. I have also seen ones on ebay that are pink or blue. Most large pet stores sell them. If you have time you could check ebay. You may find a deal. You don't have to do an auction but can do a buy it now. No worrying about floor damage or bunnies jumping out of the top.
