I have a lil Holland lop and his name is Charlie :) His nails are black and I've been having a hard time clipping them... I have another rabbit, Lila. Her nails are white so I can easily clip them cause I can see the quick.

I can't see the quick in Charlie's nails and it's really been hard because I don't want to cut into the quick!

Any advice?

have you tried getting someone to hold a flashlight up on the other side so that the light shines through the nail? that may make the quick visible.

Another thing I will do is I put the clippers at a length of the nail I think is good, then I kind of squeeze the clippers without actually cutting any nail a couple times. If you're cutting too short the bunny will tell you and you will not have actually cut any nail. I find after a while it gets much easier to guess where the quick is too.

I find that there is a difference in the nail where the quick is. Most of the rabbits that I have had, have had dark colored nails. If you are unsure cut the nail longer.
