I'm sorry if this has been asked before; and if anyone has a link to one of the older threads you can just reply with it so I don't waste anyone's time.

I have a blue buck with several urine stains on him that I need to clean. I don't want him to stroke out in a bath or something (hah) but both cat-grooming wipes and a damp washcloth have not worked, so now I'm stumped. How can I clean him nicely?

Kitty's Cal babies had urine marks on them, because they were all in the same cage. Anyway, this really works on them, but not sure about a black one. Try a test somewhere first. LOL

Mix a spray bottle with 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Mist a little on the spots, and rub into the hair (we use paper towels, but anything will work). Then, while the hair is still wet, work cornstarch into their fur. When it's dry (could take a while) brush out all the cornstarch. Voila! No more urine marks. :)

Now, Californians are white rabbits. How do you see urine stains on a black coat? Because he's black, maybe skip the cornstarch?

He's actually a blue, so the urine stains show up as a bright orange, but a little faded. They're from when he was in a cage next to a champion sprayer. Sigh. I'll give it a try, thanks!

It should work fine. Kitty's one Cal had orange all over her back. Some white vinegar/water rubbed in well (when that was told to me, it said to use a washcloth to rub it in, but paper towels worked fine), with cornstarch rubbed in afterwards. About an hour afterwards you couldn't even tell there was anything there...she was white as could be. Good luck!!
