My bunnies are a little over 3 months old. Over the past 2 weeks they have been shedding a lot. I'm not sure if they start going through cycles. There are some slight color changes with their coat - more distinct features. Pretty cool to see.

I've tried so many brushes, rubber pet grooming gloves, and ideas to help with their grooming. Out of everything, simply petting them with wet hands does the trick. What a great suggestion/solution that I've read on this forum. THANKS so much! IMO, it's the best one so far, when it comes to removing shedding hair.

Brenda what's a Zoom Groom? Daisy Mae is sheading soooooo much.

I wish I had some oF the clear plastic envelopes Fed Ex uses to put the mailing address in. They workso sell to get the fur off. Just pat the bunny with the sticky side NOT HARD THOUGH then gently pull it off with tons of fur.

My aunt always uses those disposable kitchen gloves( the yellow ones you use when washing dishes etc ) with the rough inner surface damp to pet her cat to remove fur. wonder if it would work for Daisy Mae.

I have a furminator, but it makes me nervous to use on rabbits with their thin skin.

For my last rabbit (who hated being brushed) I got one of those loop thingies they use on horses and it worked great - I got a bunch of fur off quickly before he realized what I was up to. I can't remember what it is called but had teeth on one side (not sharp) and a handle.

For Jake, I use something like this: http://www.terrificpets.com/pet_supplies/dog/grooming/combs/112144.asp
Apparantly it is called an undercoat comb and it works well.

I have used a furminator on Buck. It works well, but I think mini rex fur in a bit too this to use it. I only have a medium sized one that I also use on my dog. If I had a better size one, I may like it better. It's kind of an expensive experiment though. I would stick with the dollar store alternatives first, like the yellow wash gloves.

Zoom groom i use o all my pets, and the carpet lol. Its amazing. And i go verrry lightly with furminator. Dont do it with wet fur though. And too much will irritate skin. Greyhound comb works good for butt tufts too!

They make a Furminator for rabbits. I also use the Zoom Groom on Stitch and it works wonders for me. I guess it really depends on your bun's coat. I want to get the rabbit Furminator though and try it out.
