when i went out to check on the babies thismorning i noticed that one was missing so i frantically searched allover the cage until i found the baby all by its self. The baby was socold. So i then brought the baby inside quickly wraped it gently in apaper towel and then turned on the hair dryer to low. I thought thatwould work because with one of my other litters the same thing happenedand the hair dryer worked but not this time.

Well he/she lived for about another 2 hrs

i was holding him whem he passed away

So my dad built a little casket for him/her and i burried him/her in the back yard.

and than i planted a memorial flower in her name

I am soooo sorry, it must be really hard to loose a little one.

it was really hard because it looked like she was in pain because she could hardly breath.

but from the very beginning she looked sick

she was half the size of the others, his/her skin was extra wrinkled, and she seemed not to move around a lot like the others

well at least i still have 6 HEALTHY looking babies

they pee, wriggle around and are warm to the touch.

i feel a little bit better now that him/he haspassed because if it was sick it is in no more pain. do you guys knowthe reason why the mother was looking like she was trying to find thedead baby.:(

Does the mother stimulate the babies to go to the bathroom.

I am so sorry to hear about the little babe'spassing. She's joining a whole litter of bunnies that I just lostearlier this week (there was 5 and they only lived 24 hours) so I'msure that she'll have plenty of companionship until she sees all herloved ones again.

Hang in there, and please remember that she's in a joyous, happy place where there is no hurt, pain, or sickness.
