My mini-rex Monty who was fixed last month is a very sweet bunny, he comes to me, licks me and lets me pick him up whenever. However, when I clean out his litter box he grunts at me and nudges me making it harder to get his litter box out of the cage. Whats that mean? Why does he do that?

Katie, that was the best answer ever! My bunny didn't grunt at me but he always tried to "distract" me when I was cleaning. I noticed he didn't like me taking his poo away much, it felt like he tried to say "hey, I worked so hard the whole day to produce all of that and now you take it all away in a minute?" LOL
I don't know why, they might feel proud of their "productivity" in the field... :D

My Rosie does that. Before I got her fixed it was alot worse and I could hardly get into her cage without her grunting and throwing herself at my hands lol. But now shes calmed down and she just does it now and again. She just kind of throws her front paws down and nudges me and grunts. I always thought it was because its their home and your intruding

Haha! This made me laugh really hard because Spike does the same thing. He doesnt grunt, but he doesn't like it. He will either run to protect his litter or storm off in a huff and stare at me from across the room. The "I worked so hard on that" is exactly the look he has, lol!

Lol Benji is the most kind-natured bunny- you could pretty much do anything with him and he'd just accept it and be like....finnnneeeeeeee just give me banana. But sometimes when I try and take his food bowl he'll put both paws on me, push me (HARD) away and trumpet like an elephant. It's so funny...lol.
Also when he's really hungry, as I'm giving him his food he'll just rugby tackle me out the way which I also find hilarious.

lol yeah, feeding Monty is hard too. His head goes straight into the food bowl headbutting my hand out of the way when I'm trying to fill it up and ends up getting food on his head.
