My doe may be pregnant because my sitter wasn't paying attention, and I have two different coloured mini rex.

My doe is a Broken castor mini rex. Her top coat is very dark on her back.

My buck is a Solid Black mini rex. Beautiful coat.

So, any ideas on what their babies would look like?

Please excuse me if I've posted in the wrong place, I'm new here.

The most likely color they will have is Castor or broken castor, and those kits will probably be very very dark castor because of the black. Any black or broken black kits would look normal.

Isecond this, with a footnote that you'll have 50% brokens in the litter according to statistics. So, you could wind up with solid blacks, solid castors, broken blacks or broken castors. Like lelanatty said though, the castors will most like be darker than Mom because of the black.

You know what, My doe is black and my buck was blue and they had a grey, a white, two browns, a multi-colored brown and a beige one.
I was told they would all be black.

It depends on what is behind them. There is a very good chance you will get castors and broken castors. You can also get black and broken black and if they carry dilute you could get opals and blues. You could also get some surprises like white if it is behind them.

Well thats interesting.. I guess I'll see on the 10 or 12 of next month. Thats around the time she'd be having them, if she IS pregnant.

I want to clarify something about the broken statistic. It isn't that 50% of them will be broken - but EACH baby has a 50% chance of being broken.

I've had litters of 10 where 7 were broken and litters of five where none were broken although one parent was.

So the 50% chance applies to each baby - just like flipping a coin - each time you might get heads or you might get tails.

you also bred two selfs together. I'm sure it makes a big difference in the aquoti and self. Genetics with sertain colors gets way more indepth.

Thanks for correcting me. Yes, that's what I meant. Although for what it's worth, usually it winds up being 50/50 in my litters anyway.
