I am back, by the way! I've missed RO.

Anyway, last week I cleaned Bayou's litter box as usual. When I woke up the next morning he had peed and pooped all over his pen! I cleaned it up and thought maybe it was just cause his box didn't smell like him or something. When I woke up the next morning, he had done it again. I just finished cleaning up that disgusting mess.

I picked him up earlier and made sure everything looked normal and he didn't seem irritated. His urine and everything looked totally normal, with the exception that it was all over the pen floor instead of his litter box. :grumpy:

The only change in his routine has been the amount of time I have been letting him out. It's been cut back quite a lot because he was always ripping up the carpet. Maybe he was protesting his incarceration?

Has anyone else's bun gone from perfectly potty trained to not so much?

How old is he and is he neutered? Those are the first two things that come to mind.

Some buns do protest a completely clean box, so maybe saving some of the old litter to mix with the new would help him.

About 3 years old, I believe and has been neutered for some time. Thankfully he is only pooping outside the box now. It was so bizarre for him to just start peeing everywhere.
