Our puppy just bit into a tube of Testors non-toxic cement for plastic. I'm not REAL concerned other than my entire house smells of this lemony scent and the carpet has a great deal on/in it.

HOWEVER, the pup has it on HIM.... anyone know what to do? and should I be concerned since it says NON-TOXIC?

No idea but i'd be worried too. Is there a phone# on the cement tube? If there is a 1-800 number try calling that.

Or try calling a emergency vet and asking. When my dog(puppy at the time) ate a tube of paint, I called the emergency clinic and asked what I should do.

The cement might be non toxic but I have no idea on whether it will harden up and cause issues.

MSDS Document: MS.0035210.042208.pdf
Thanks! I couldn't get that to load. I tried to call the company but they were closed. The pet hotline would have just called them..... and they charge like $65

I don't think he ate a lot of it but it was on his paws, face, in my carpet and smelled bad!

We gave him a bath.... errr 2 baths! and cleaned the carpet (bissell steam cleaner a great thing to have with pets!) and fed him bread, water, and watched him. He seems fine now.

It never fails something always happens on a weekend. How's he acting is he eating, drinking and did he do his business yet, was it normal looking. I'd call the vet tomorrow a.m. and see what he says.

The MSDS says to give water to dilute if swallowed and it may cause GI irritation, but it doesn't sound overly concerning (and because I had to look up the MSDS for every chemical I worked with or created in chem labs, I know that some of those have some scary warnings!)
It also says excessive inhalation may cause respiratory irritation, and that it's combustible... so don't get your puppy too close to an open flame.

It also gives an emergency number, but just for chemical emergencies.

I'm not sure what to do about getting it off of him, except maybe shaving it out of the fur, but the good news is you can call the company tomorrow :)
