This is Purple Thistle's Leah 7 weeks old in the photo.

This little Tort boy is Purple Thistle's Parker.

Now as for the question I had. These guys seem weak in the hind end, they won't hop like my babies(who are now closer to 11 weeks old) and they see-wrong- odd-off on their hind ends. I want to think they've never had the chance to hop or run around when they were younger-kept in a smaller cage- and they'll strenghten with some time out in the x-pen.

Any Ideas? as to why they'd be so weak in the hind end?

If there appears to be something wrong, there probably is. It could indeed be due to being raised in cramped quarters or could be something more serious such aship displasiaor patellar luxation.

I'm having a lapse of memory as to the name of the blue English Lop on this board that had to be put down for similar issues - maybe someone can help out and find the thread.

I'd take one of these guys in for x-rays so the problem can be identified. If this is a congenital defect, the breeder needs to be notified.

I watched her hop this morning, it looks like splay legs on her, but not him. He's perfectly normal(tort is the buck, broken black is a doe) I'm still searching for a good rabbit vet. countryside and boonesboro are the only two offices i know of. i personally don't like the vets at boonesboro, and i've only once talked to the vet at countryside for my horse when she had ringworm.
I'm going to give her a week to see if she improves. I know he was hopping around last night and it wasn't normal, but he relaxed over night to be normal this morning, so the trip was a little rough on him. She improved over last night, but still off. If it was hip displaysia wouldn't that be noticeable in both babies? They are litter mates

I'll call Countryside on Wednesday if she doesn't improve any

My one and only English Lop I ever had had problems. She was constantly tripping and falling over. I thought maybe it was just because of her purportions but then I went out after 2-3 months and she couldn't stand. She lost control of her hind-end.

That's Leah's hind legs from the top side, she was out in the x-pen. at some points it looks like spay legs, and sometimes she keeps at least one of them up normal. I was told Boonesboro does deal with rabbits, but i'm still shaky on calling them. . . I might just take her up to the office tomorrow in all my running around, I'll take all three babies with me so they can get out and socialize. I've also emailed the breeder to ask if any of the other babies in the litter besides Leah is like this.
