My fuzzy lop mom Biscuit is doingfine. I don't know how else to put it except"She hasn't gotten any worse AND hasn't gotten any better."

It seems Biscuit will survive with a disability. She iseating well, but has lost weight. I'm pretty sure she isn'tnursing anymore because her nipples have shrunk and the hair aroundthem is growing back. Tonight will be the first night shewill be seperated from the kits who are only 4+ weeks old.Don't worry, mom and kits will play all day tomorrow in a largeexercise pen.

Triscuits is showing very poor signs lately. I've been slurryfeeding nutrical and oxbow crit care, but the last few days haven'tbeen a success. Vickie, I don't want to alarm, but ourlittle Triscuit is well, um, developmentally delayed. Today,Easter, poor Triscuit mostly slept and sort of rockedrythmically. Her/his head is arched upward. Thesibling, Caviar, is such a wonderful buddy. He/she exploresthe cage, acts silly, and does all the stuff you'd expect, but alwayschecks on his/her little sis/bro. Triscuit loves the oats and eats themup. And I try to syringe feed water every so often.

Mom's head is tilted pretty bad. She loves her kits but getsrisky every once in a while. No seisures, but she definatelyneeds and appreciates her space. She loves to wander theoffice, which is about 300 sq feet! So far, we are prettylousy at litter training, but that's cool, I'm ready to shampoo thisrug anyway.

Thanks for all the great people who care. It really is sonice to have so many offering support. I am so grateful foreveryone.

More good news later, I hope. God Bless all the bunnies.

It sounds a bit like my Fen when he was a baby. He was really REALLYslow to develop. Hopping was a major issue. And yesterday I went outand he was sleeping with his head arched up and rocking gently. (He'sfour and a half yrs. now, btw)

Have you considered allergies? Fen does that head thing when his noseis acting up, and it's bad right now. He's allergic to dust and justabout everything else.:?

Oh, I hope he's ok!

Rose

P.S. Fen is allergic to oats! They must be sifted for dust or they make him worse.

I'm so sorry everyone, Triscuit passed away lastnight. I check the hutch several times yesterday knowingsomething wasn't right.Around 8:30pm, I held her inmy shirt for about an hour as she took her final breath.

She was a little over 4 weeks.

Thanks for all your help. You all were so kind to give me great advice along the way.

My daughter and I are going to bury her today.

...and I'll post a tribute on the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry to read that, you were obviously doing everything possible :(.I hope all the others make it ok.

Poor Mom and babes.

In my thoughts and prayers,

Bojay,

You were a wonderful owner to that bun. It's a shame that she couldn'tlive out her life in that Heaven on earth at your place. But, she's inan amazing Bunnie Heaven right now, and her head, i promise you, isnormal, and she has no blemishes and feels no pain.

bojay, I am so sorry about Triscuit. You gave herthe best chance she could have, and plenty of love - there was no moreyou could have done. I am sure she and Little Darling (Gypsy's baby)will be playing and binkying at Rainbow Bridge. I will keep praying forBiscuit! - Jan

Oh Gosh Bojay. I have just come back on from theweekend and found your post. I am so sorry our Triscuit didn't make it.I was really praying for that little one. My heart really aches for youas I know how much Triscuit meant to you. It is so hard, but at leastshe took her final breath with you. I am sure she knew you loved her.Again I am so sorry, I felt so helpless knowing that nothing could havebeen done for my Runty but, like Triscuit the short time they was withus they was loved and at the end of the day thats all you could havedone for her. I am so sorry. I need to say another little prayer forher today.

I am sure she is happy now at Rainbow Bridge and is being looked after by all our buns that have past on.

Love

Vickie

PS - How is Biscuit today? I am sure you have done the right thingseparating her from the babies now. I am sure she will appreciate beingleft alone at the moment. I had to seperate my first babies from theirMum at 4 weeks as she had another litter,so the babies willbe just fine. I will say a prayer for her too.
