Sláinte is táinte, beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!
(Health and wealth, St. Patrick's Day blessings on you!)

May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May the soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you.
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.

- Irish proverb

Happy St Patricks day to you all!!

Top of the morning to you too. Ah to be sure, to be sure!!!

---------------------------------------------

Wee Bit O' Irish

You're the flash and sparkle in dark Irish eyes.

You're the whimsey and charm of leprechaun guise.

You're the treasured gold at the rainbow's end.

You're the beauty and mystery of emerald glens.

You're the top o' the mornin' - my cup of tea.

You're springtime adornin'...blessings on thee.

HAPPY SAINT'S DAY!!

Well, I don't know if it's true or not, butapparently if you're Scottish, you're supposed to wear orange on St.Patty's Day. My grandmother was a Scottish immigrant and made all herchildren wear orange every March 17th. *shrug* I played it safe andwore green and orange :p

*edit* Wait, I found it....

Green is for Catholicism, Orange is for Protestantism (guess where Scotland falls?). So it's a religious protest.

I remember growing up and my dad told me that the Scottish wearorange on St. Patrick's Day. I didn't realize why until a couple yearsago. One of the reasons for the division of Ireland into North andSouth Ireland is because the North is predominately Protestant(represented by the color Orange) and the South is predominatelyCatholic (represented by the color green). While they war aboutreligion, at least some understand how ridiculous it is.
