fighting!!!!

Tonight, they randomly started fighted. Winstonwas humping Mabel, and Mabel was ripping Winston's fur out. Is it timeto get Mabel spayed? She's been perfect up until now, and Winston isneutered so I don't see why he should be doing any humping. What'sgoing on with them?????

p.s. I put them in separate cages for the night in the hopes that they'll cool off.

Just because he doesn't have the equipment doesn't mean he can't sense the hormones.

I'd definitely think spaying was a good idea. Ihad Flopsy done last week because her hormones were making itimpossible for her to get on with any other rabbit in the place. Andalthough she was only nine months she'd already got cysts growing onher ovaries so I'm doubly glad I had her done.

She's already calmed down a lot, and I'm guessing by next week bondingis going to go a whole lot better . It has been known forhormonal females to be a little short tempered sometimes .

Exactly! He doesn't have them but she does.....

Plus, she's probably got some bunnytude due to her hormones.

Is it normal to happen all at once like this?They were fine two days ago, and suddenly last night they couldn'tstand the sight of each other. Argh!

Thanks for the tips. Winston and Mabel seem to be getting better together again, but I'm still having her spayed.

I got bit bad one time when Jordan and Calvinwere going at it. This particular fight happened inside one of theircages, all I could do was stick my arm in between the two of them. Idoubt Calvin meant to bite me, I'm sure he was going after Jordan, butdamn...I'm glad I got it cuz it really could've hurt Jordan! He bite meon the underside of my forearm and blood came spilling out at fullspeed!! You'd be surprised what those itty bitty mouths can do. Itdidn't hurt that much but it bled for the longest time, and the nextday I had a bruise from my wrist all the way to my elbow. No joke. Istill have the scar from it too...
