Next project is to try a little vinagar in the box to see if it decreases the odor.
What? No. :shock::p
If you do, the smell of the vinegar will only cover it up and vinegar smells awful and I found it stung my eyes to go in the room when the rabbits pee'd on the vinegar bedding :? . Try baking soda or bicarbonated soda mixed in with the litter. :)

I think I saw wood stove pellets or something similar at the Farm and Fleet in Waukesha. I use Yesterday's News, too, and get it at the Pet Supplies Plus (Bluemound), Pick'N'Save (Silvernail), and Wal*Mart (Pewaukee one has the small bags). Only Pet Supplies Plus has the big bags, that I've found. I think Farm and Fleet has the stove pellets, though. Let me know if you find them there, it would be cheaper for me, too! :)

I use Holy Cow in the pink bottle to wash out my litter boxes with (vinegar stinks!) and it takes all the smell and pee out....AND...it smells like flowers after wards :p.

I buy them locally at a hardware store/lumber yard.
Recently I got mine at Revy or Home Hardware. Home Depot doesn't carry wood pellets. They just don't carry the stock. :dunno

You can find wood pellets at pet shops, but they are very expensive. Its best to get it at the hardware stores.
The Home Depot where I live sells them, but they are a seasonal thing and most hardware stores and walmart only sell them during winter.

Oh, as far as cleaning out the litter pans go, I use this stuff called Citrus Magic that is sold at Wal*Mart. It's meant for cats, but it works wonders on bunny pee. Most of the time, though, I just rinse out the pans with water once a week (my buns don't pee too much and don't soil the plastic).

We've recently heard a lot of places are out of them because of the economy right now. No housing being built, less wood use. Also, people are using wood vs. electricity/oil now. AND...... our local Tractor supply has changed from Woodypet, to Equine Fresh to now Equine Pine....... which I am hesitant to try. I don't know what I am going to do. I really hate having to change their litter again!

Why are you hesitant about the equine pine? Isn't it the same thing just under a different label?

I don't know..... that's the problem. I can't get the information on the equine fresh to compare it. :(
