Update August 6, 2008: Miley had 7 large Cuterebra Larvae removed from her head, chest, and sides. She is on oral antibiotics, wound care cream and warm soaks. She will require follow up vet visits, and close monitoring for signs of infection/non-healing wounds.
Although she certainly feels better having these larvae removed, Miley is wiped out and a bit scared. We are hopeful that this sweet baby will make a full recovery

This beautiful light brown Lionhead mix (possibly New Zealand) approx 3 months old, was running loose as a stray for almost a month before being caught on a stormy evening. Miley has numerous wounds to her body and sides of her head. They appear to be puncture wounds, but our vet will be better at deciding that. It does appear that a couple of the wounds are abscessed. We are hopeful that we will be able to get Miley back to health, and available for adoption.

A silver white with grey point French Lop mix, approx 8-10lbs and 1.7 yrs old.

We were contacted by a fellow rescuer to Lancelop's situation. He was in need of immediate medical care and a proper living enviorment. He was transported into 3 Bunnies care, and is recieving medical attention. As you can see his eyes have a disharge which has caused his skin to be red/raw and painful. His nail were long and curled with a possible toe or two broken. His teeth also needed tending to. Our vet is giving him the medical care he needs.

Lancelop is such a sweet guy! He gets all "mushy" when you hold him, and it was wonderful to see him do a big long bunny stretch. We expect him to be on the road to recovery, and available for adoption soon.
