for a bunny!!! It's a shame I got rid of all my bunny stuff. I don't know how nice Oliver would be to a pet either. I miss having them. :(

You know, normally I would say "Oh go get one!" but thinking on it and knowing how it's been for me with older kids, I'd wait.

He's little now and could be so loving that he might love it too much..... ya know?! :shock:eek:r he might be just great which is also a good thing but........

When my kids are in school I have time for the bunnies, but there are days when I have to find time for them even now. I only work part time and the kids are 16 and 12. We have games, contests, clubs, events, schoolwork, etc., and honestly, I dread next Friday cause we will be out of town for about 36 hours. I'll have to leave the bunnies plenty to eat and drink and have hubby give them hay on their outside hay racks..... I haven't left for more than like 4 days since I got Bo and I dread the thought of going on vacation! :embarrassed:I don't want to leave my bunnies!

What I am saying is..... right now you have lots of time. Wait til Oliver gets into school and you run all over for things! it gets maddening sometimes!

Hi Lissa!

Guess who misses you too....

Hi Lissa nice to hear from you. How's Oliver? Any new updated pictures of him?

Didn't you use to live in Toronto? Or am I losing it? LOL:?

I know exactly what you mean. I really want Oliver to experience the love that I have for bunnies but he still is a bit young. I will hang in there and wait. :)

Susan:)

I'll dig around for some pics, I have a lot!!

I've always been from MN/WI. :)

Oliver is 17 months now and he's getting into EVERYTHING. He's a funny little boy and quite smart too.

What a GORGEOUS family!! (Given the photogenic parental factor, Oliver was a shoo-in). ;)

Lissa, why don't you try fostering the odd little bunny and that way you can teach Oliver the finer points of bunny love and bunny non-handling ('don't touch!") and see if a permanent resident would be workable? You'll be helping a needy bunny or two in the meantime.

So glad to see you posting!!

sas :big kiss:

You guys are beautiful!!!

And Lissa, we have three rabbits (still the same crew, though Chompers is really showing his age now), and taught Ayla how to be gentle with them. She is very, very good with the rabbits actually.

However, they were around before she was born and we were holding her up to them as an infant. So she's always had buns in her life and we began teaching her to pet them very early, she was only a few months old. I can see bringing one in with a rambunctious toddler being a 'situation'.

Thanks Stephanie.

We're not going to get a bunny any time soon. I know that Oliver would have a bit too much fun with one. lol I just have a little itch. I miss my bunnies. :(

Lissa, could you volunteer someplace to enjoy a bunny time? Is there a time when you could let Oliver stay with family and do that or something? It might be a good outlet for you as well :)

God I wish! I hardly have any time to myself as it is.

Are you a stay at home mom too? My days are very busy too, Ayla is one of those go-go-go types. Non stop from the time she gets up, but thankfully she's good about playing by herself and doesn't hang off me all day.

Here's she and I outside...we've got a little bit of snow here in Ottawa. :p

Her new haircut, she won't let us put it up, it was getting too ratty looking, so we got a bob cut, it looks very cute with her curls.

She is just a little doll!! How old is she?

I was a SAHM until he turned a year old then I started working 2 days a week. I plan on cutting my hours pretty soon though because I want to be home more. The days get to be pretty chaotic. He's at the age where he is into EVERYTHING so he keeps me on my toes.

She turned two on December 5. :biggrin2:

That's not the greatest pic, but she's hard to take pictures of these days. As soon as she sees the camera she's all over it, or doing a goofy face.

She's pretty much out of the 'get into everything' stage...for the most part.
