It could be anything. A pinched nerve,a bad disc in the spine or many other things. One thing youmay consider is just a xray of the spine. That may rule ourdeformities, herniated, slipped disc, deteriorating disc etc.Basically bone structure problems.

Other things could be bad or arthritic hips.

Urinary infections can spread to other parts of the body.

If not the bone then soft tissue or nerve problems would be moredifficult to spot and treat. You probably want to work withthe vet to do a process of elimination until you feel somewhatcomfortable with the condition.

I'm praying for Cupcake too! Jellybeanis having the same problem. After we found out she had cancer(I posted a while back, but have been working a lot of late nightsrecently), we were all set to have her foot amputated when she starteddragging her back legs. We thought it was from theantibiotics she was on from the surgery, but she's been off themedication for five days now and still not hopping. Otherthan that, she's her usual happy self. We're just watching tosee how she does and praying that she improves. Plus a littlebit of massage and bunny physical therapy - helping her to bend her legand walk. I hope Cupcake gets better, too. Poorbabies!

Sorry for not updating you sooner- this time of year is really busy.

Some good news.Cupcake is no longer dragging her legs but hoppingslowly using her back legs. Just glad she doesn't seem to be doing thedragging her feet sideways thinglike she was doing a few daysago. She is moving around very cautiously. I took her litterbox out of her cage so she would have nothing to hop over & putlitter in the corner where her litter box used to be &carefresh bedding everywhere else

I have noticed that although she is eating & drinking she isnot eating as much as she used to & is drinking less. Stillundecided if I want to go for X-rays or not since I am not sure ifthere is anything they can do if they find anything & the costis $300.

Watching her carefully & if I notice she is getting worse willtake her to the vet again. Just hope she improves slowly- will let youknow how the next few days go

Thanks for all your support :) SHe is still giving us lots of bunnykisses & we are petting her & talkng to her more thanever....hoping love will help her heal.

Sue

Thanks for the encouraging news about Cupcake! :)

A dear friend of mine says she will no longer allow me to show herpictures of the bunnies on here. She melted when she saw Cupcake. Sheasks me every morning when I see her at work, "How's Cupcake??"

Cupcake is loved by many. If love can heal her, she's on the road to a full recovery. Give her a kiss and a hug from me.

Prayers continue for our little one.

Update on Cupcake:

She seems to be hopping better & is eating well but still isnot going in her litter box. She does seem more relaxed than she waspreviously & I have not been letting her hop around as muchsince the vet suggested she is best to rest if she injured herself.

Her behaviour has changed though- She does not sleep in her little loghouse any more & has started digging at the bottom of hercage-this is new to her- not sure if these are signs of her gettingclose to maturing ( almost 6 months old) or if this change is relatedto something else happening to her. She now sleeps leaned up against ornear her water bottle spout ( I find this a little odd)

She seems happy- is eating & drinking well so I hope she is okay

Thanks for asking Carolyn
