I did something stupid =P

What kind of a laptop did that? I have a Dell Latitude D620, and it's never gotten hot enough to burn me even though I've had it on my lap for up to 4-5 hours (RO is addictive...).

It's a Hp Pavillion. I think mine overheats because I overuse it.It really doesn't get turned off much at all. Since it was on me the air circulation wasn't right so it heated even more.

So seriously guys, if you have a laptop, be careful

You silly girl. Ours is an HP as well, but it only sits perfectly on the coffee table-perfection husband. He still uses the cover thingy it came with to put in between the keyboard and screen upon closing it. Wouldn't know if it gets hot, he'd freak if I had it in my "lap":shock:.

I keep my laptop propped up with a couple of flat highlighter pens. Just enough to elevate it slightly because it gets hot too. Stupid design, the fan on the bottom...

OUCH! I don't THINK mine gets hot enough to burn... but maybe! But I don't like the heat it DOES give off, so I put it on a pillow on my lap... maybe you should, too
Hope your burns heal quickly! And that your next shower isn't too painful (I HATE showers after getting a sunburn!)
