I just watched Across The Universe in the movie theater this past weekend and I LOVED it. I've always been a fan of the Beatles, so I was pretty excited about this movie.

It's Moulin Rouge-esqe in that it's a musical and it's artsy, but even Neil liked it and he was preparing himself for the worst when I said we were going to see a musical. :biggrin2:

I already have all the music on various Beatles albums, but I am totally going ot buy the soundtrack cause all the actors did a great job and the new versions of the songs for the movie are amazing.

The main character are Jude (Hey Jude) and Lucy (Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds). Man, now I want to go see it again.

I LOVE the Beatles!!!

Why don't I know about this movie. Or maybe I do?
Is this the one that Paul and Shawn redid all the music for? Nope that was for Cirque du Soleil.:)

I was lucky enough to work with a band that did a complete Beatles show.
They were originally from the Beatlemania show on Broadway...NYC....Winter Garden Theater...anybody?

I was part of the road crew (yes I was a ROADIE!!). It was like touring with the Beatles for a year and a half. We had a blast!!!

I live ina Beatles themed subdivision.

I had no clue and thought people were odd when I told them where I lived since several asked me if I was a Beatles fan.

Finally someone clued me in. :biggrin2:

LOL Leaf - what are the names of some of the streets in the subdivision? I think that's hilarious.

My parents own a house that's close to the Zoo, and all their streets are things like "Bobcat Blvd" and "Cheetah Crescent".... it's all really cheesy.

:biggrin2:

I'm sorry, but I think that is one of the neatest things I've ever heard of. I would so live in that division if my town had such a thing.
