i love looking back on my childhood and laughing about memories. here's some stuff i remember with a smile from my childhood:

1) knocking on my neighbours front door with my brother and friends and running away. we always used to knock and run, it was so fun.

2) camping out in the playhouse at night with my brother and dad. dad used to tell us hilarious stories from his own childhood and have us in hysterics!

3) my dad used to take me on "dates" once a month. i would get dressed up and he would take me to a restaurant and we would have dinner together. we did this for years. i love my dad, he's so great :)

4) soaping up the bathroom floor and sliding around the floor on my butt. it was SO fun! and afterwards the bathroom floor was so clean LOL.

5) tearing the house apart each xmas trying to find where mum and dad hid the presents!

6) making experimental food and force feeding it to my poor parents. one time i filled an entire soup bowl with straight mustard and then MADE my dad taste a spoonful and he had to pretend he loved my "cooking".

7) sneaking out of my bedroom and hiding behind the couch to watch "married with children" where my parents couldn't see me, hehe.

8) being TERRIFIED of the count dracula from sesame street.

9) being scared those dangly toilet duck germs in the toilet would bite my bum.

10) sneaking my dog in the bathroom window so he could have a bath with me. my mum always knew though because the window ledge was wet and my bath water had heaps of black fur and dead fleasfloating in it LOL.

11) sneaking lemonade from the drinks machine at the local service station. we would ask for water then choose lemonade instead. we got busted when i dropped my "water" and it fizzed on the floor, haha. they were like, "hey, wait a minute, water doesn't fizz...."

12) seeing my first playboy magazine and laughing so hard i almost wet myself.

13) spying on the lady who lived in our street who had lots of different male visitors at all hours of the day and night. she was a very busy lady indeed.

14) watching the miss universe pageant and arguing over who would win, and hoping one of them would fall over on the catwalk lol.

15) sitting on santa's knee and never worrying he would do anything bad to me. kids these days are made to stand NEXT to santa, they aren't allowed to sit on his knee anymore. truly sad.

16) making houses out of the living room furniture with my brother and getting told off for tipping the couch upside down.

17) playing tag with my brother and it always turned into a massive fight where punches were thrown lol.

18) climbing trees with my brother and finding empty cicada shells.

19) my dad reading me a story in bed every night. he would change the words of the story and say really funny stuff and i would always be laughing my head off.

20) going on bush walks with my family. we would take the jeep and our billy pot and go to some secluded beach and cook spagetti over a small fire.

21) my mum taking me to her flash hairdressers for my haircuts where i got the full flashy service. it was great because they didn't normally do kids hair so i felt very treated and special.

22) trying to stay awake so i could catch the tooth fairy taking my teeth. i never managed to stay awake long enough.

23) knotting my dad's bathrobe belt around the stairway bannister and swinging like tarzan - until the bannister broke. oops.

24) my mum's cooking - she always used to make the best dinners ever. she doesn't cook as much now but when she does, it's so delicious.

25) cutting the top of my barbie'sskull off and filing it with red wool so when she crashed her car, it looked convincing LOL sick eh!

A couple years ago, we were swarmed by those things. There were so many that people literally had to shovel their driveways!

hey cool, i just found lollies in my jacket pocket. rock on! :biggrin2:

1) Every day with every pet I had.

2) My first time at the local amusement park. Family members had made me believe we were going to the dentist. I found it strange that the whooooole family was there but I never expected the amusement park.

3) The days I spent at me grandfather's aunt's house. She died this February and she was the closest family member in my extended family.

4) Newton cookies and milk.

5) Walking to and from school with my best friend in elementary. (Everyone thought we were sisters) We would stop off at a store and buy a bag of mixed candies. Sometimes, we had no money but if we were lucky we would find a coin in the street. Sometimes we would buy a single candy and split it in half. The store clerk was great. He was and Italien man and each candy should have cost 5 cents but he always threw many more in. I like people like that.

6) School. I loved it.

7) Looking after my sister and brother. I won't ever forget the first time I got to hold either.

8) The cereal that used to turn the milk into strawberry milk.

9) My smurfs cassette, my first nintendo, and my videopainter.

10) The innocence and absence of worries.

I liked cocoa krispies-- it turned the milk chocolatey. :) I remember mounding the bowl as tall as I could, and making a hole in the center like a volcano, and pouring the milk in. Fun times. :p
