Chronology of a Happy Bunny

I was just looking through some old photos of basically everything when I saw some old photos of Happy, arranged in time format. It just reminded me of the time we found him till now, and how much he had changed. Here are the pics from day one (almost) till now (well almost now).

1) this was taken on about Day 2 or 3 (March 28, 2006). We had set up paper for him but could not understand where he was doing his business. Isn't he just such a polite bunny to use the plant pot?


2) Taken on Apr 1, 2006 - Happy had found a spot he called home, for awhile at least.


3) Apr 7, '06 - He has still got the mud from being outside. We had slowly removed as much as we could but we didn't want to over do it by stressing him.


4) Apr 9 - he finally got his appetite back, plus he now has a new friend - a $5 stuffed unicorn! Which he promptly ignored.


5) May 03 - most of the mud is off but he is still a bit scruffy. Here he is a little more at home.


6) Jul 16 - Now that's more like it! Finally cleaned and all the fur mats removed. Even the spirit in his eyes has returned! This time is also when he got his name 'Happy'


7) Sep 28 - A few days before Happy meets Sofi. See the smile on his face? He couldn't wait for his big date!


8) Oct 7 - Happy and Sofi's first hour together. Happy decides to comfort Sofi in her poop bin. Bonding was instant.


9) Oct 31 - 'I love you!'


10) The love of a lifetime

Aww so precious. They're both just beautiful (or in Happy's case handsome lol)

Some people don't think much about rabbits except being cute, and that's was me included. But when Happy came into my life - wow - it all changed. When Sofi came in - even more so! Their interaction is just amazing!

I absolutely agree with you there,i love watching my bunnies interact with each other,there's something really special about seeing bunnies loving each other

I had read so much about bonding before these two met and I understood the difficulties. Even the HRSS told me that Sofi was very difficult to bond - she had rejected and attacked the 5 males before Happy. But with Happy - absolute bliss! :biggrin2:

Those bunnies are so cute!!! They are so similar in size and shape - it's weird! they aren't related??

Completely different families As of this month, the are relly more like each other in size - but Happy is about a year older

Thanks to everyone so far that has replied - your kind words have made the sharing great!

I sometimes wonder that Happy could have not made it out there, and that Sofi would still be rejecting all her dates - BUT, their early months of sufferig has ended and they were the lucky ones to have made it, and made it great.

This series of photos should stand as a dedication to all those people out there who have made a diffence in any little fuzzy animal's life!

Nope, she just attacked them when they came close. Sofi is a bit of a grump but I don't blame her - after all, she was abused before the HRSS had her seized for protection. So, she is still a little agressive but she has really calmed down a lot since she got here. I am sure in about a year, she'll all OK.

that is amazing! I can't believe she took to Happy and had trouble with all of the others.
