Pam,

Would you suggest that a pinch of it be used now?

I start the Nutri Cal & tetracycline immediately with GIstasis. However, opinion differ on whether or not antibioticsshould be used, so I always recommend consulting a vet :)

I didsee Gabby's note, RaspberrySwirl, and I trust her implicitly. Whenevershe gives advice, I always take note. She has helped more rabbits defythe odds that were against them. She knows all about staying up allnight and nursing rabbits. She's done it on many occasions.

GOOOOOO BUNBUN!!

I'd do another treatment for good luck tonight. Can't hurthim. From now on, since he's prone to it, I'd suggestbrushing him a lot more and giving 3 ccs of Pineapple Juice aweek and 3 ccs of pumpkin, in addition, of course to his unlimitedtimothy hay and some oats if you have them.

WAY TO GO!! You absolutely Made My Day!!

No question of a doubt, you saved BunBun's life. You're anexcellentnurse.

Good for Bunbun and good for Dr. Carolyn! You got your degreein the school of hard knocks dealing with Tucker, now you're, "makingit go around."

There is something nice about that.

Gabby,

You should feel loved because you are so loved. I value and look to youfor advice, guidance, and support and you never let me down.

Buck Jones,

I only wish I was an expert at these things. As each of us go throughour trials and tribulations, we learn. As BunnyMommy has taught me somuch through her experience with Sherman, as you know, we all becomequick learners when we're thrown into it.

I treasure that and value that about this forum. Not only is the support strong, the information within it is crucial.

Honestly? Everything I had given Tucker, I learned first through thisforum. I had spoken to doctors that specialize in rabbits. Everythingthey had said was already spoken of here.

Luna21,

Take a sigh of relief, Dear Heart. You and BunBun did it!

As to the pineapple sugar on her jaw and fur, I was told a warmwashcloth and patience will get it off. I was going to give Tucker abreak from my handling him for a couple of days. It's been two daysnow, and I was ready to start with the warm washcloths, but little manhas cleaned most of it up himself. (He's very vain.) In my wanting togive him a break from the stress, it seems it gave him something to do.

I know what dried pineapple juice looks like on their fur. It ain't pretty!

Can you post or send me an email of BunBun's picture? Would love to seethat beautiful face. (Oh! And by the way, don't mention shaving infront of Raspberry Swirl. She does that to Sebastian. Luvabun calls him'nakey bunny'. It's very humiliating.)

-Carolyn

Hey m.e.?

sometimes it's just sogood to have that reaffirmation. And itis amazine how fast one learns something and puts ones mind to asorbinginformation when hit with a hard knock of it isn'it?

Ya had to do it, Raspberry, didn'tya!

Poor Sebastian Boy!

-Carolyn

Wow! Sorry Imissed posting this for support... But I am glad to hear thatBunbun's doing good. It seems like many rabbits are havingcases of GI stasis right now. I don't remember this happeninglast year. Then again, maybe it's just a matter of bad luckin conjunction with shedding. Ack! I wanted to type'molting' instead of shedding! I guess that's what happenswhen your first pets were parakeets...

And poor Sebastian! And Carolynhad to go and quote with the picture too, so now it not only is there, but twice in a row!! The poor guy...

--Melissa and Umbra

It's okay, they call it "molting" too ;)
