:(Looks like were not out of the darkyet, she hasn't pooped all day and hardley anything last night! Imreally worried now, she's been bunched up on my bed all day now!:(:(im gona have to try all I can and if I have to, I willtake her to the vet!:(:(:(:(she hasn't had anything to eattoday.

Have you tried the simethicone?? Ifshe's all bunched up, then she's probably having pain. Thesimethicone will help the gas pain; you have to get rid of thegas!! Tempt her with some of her favorite foods!!Good Luck! :)

luna21,

Syringe feed her fresh pineapple juice every 4 hours, 3 ccs, about 3 tablespoons.

Give her canned pumpkin, a syringe full as well as the pineapple juice. The pineapple juice will keep her hydrated.

As Auntie Nae said, some simethicone will help with the gas. If you canget NutriCal, give her that so that she's getting nutrients.

Give her a papaya pill every 8 hours.
It's an agressive treatment, but it worked for me. Massage her belly, let her get her exercise so she can work it out.

The bunched up position usually indicates they're uncomfortable. Is she grinding her teeth?

If you have none of the above at your disposal for the night, make sureyou keep giving her water. Flip her upside down on her back and syringefeed, or get her to drink water by putting it on her lips if you don'thave a syringe on hand tonight.

From about page 10 and on of the G.I. Stasis post, you'll see where you can get the above things.

The way I went about it was:

-Fresh (definitely not canned) Pineapple Juice to break up the hairball, every 4 hours 3 ccs

-Papaya Pill: broken in half, one pill every 8 hours. Put it in her mouth as far back as you can and she'll chew it up.

-Simethicone: for gas that's caught up in the hairball, 2x a day - .03 ml.

-NutriCal: to stimulate appetite, boost immunity, help as a laxative, and provide nutrients. I was giving Tucker about a pea-sized dollop 3-5times a day.

-Canned Pumpkin: As much as she'll take. This helps with fiber andcleaning her out. Give it to her when you give her the Pineapple Juice. At least 1 or 2 ccs.

-Pedialyte: twice a day to help with electrolytes and dehydration, although she'll be getting hydrated by the pineapple juice.

Keep the faith. She can make it through with your help.

Let me know how things are going. If you wish for my email address,it's posted under my profile. Prayers and thoughts are going your wayfrom here.

To further repeat what Auntie Nae said, do tempt her with anything you think she might eat.

If you have an apple or banana in the house, you might try cutting some up and offering it to her.

If you have rolled oats, give it to her. Cecotropes that are soft andmushy rather than in their grape-like form is diarrhea, therefore shemust stay hydrated.

Also, you could offer some fresh, untreated grass - (no pesticide sprays or treatment on the grass), or fresh parsley.

thankyou for being here for me right now!!!! Itried syringe feeding her the pinaple juice i had to hold her while myfriend gave her the juice, she fought with me and growled and snarled:(aww I just feel so bad!!!!!!! I just wana help her !! sheis grinding her teeth and her ears are down ! I will have her rightbeside my bed tonight !!! I will update!

PS. I hope Tucks is feeling well!!

Give her that fresh pineapple juice regardless of whether she likes itor not. Get someone to help you holding her if you have to. TheSimethicone and the canned pumpkin are key. Keep up the treatmentsuntil she poops. One dose isn't going to do it. Get some NutriCal. I'dactually do all of the above.

Massage her belly.

Keep us posted, luna21. I'm praying for her and for you. Don't give up!

Idefinitely believe in the power of massage ithelps wonders to get things moving in addition to other treatment.

well bunbun slept with me last night, I massagedher belly for quite a while cause she was very bunched up, Ive beengiving her some canned pumpkin, pinaple, nutrical and I tried to putsome water on her lips this morning!! she was sprawled out beside methis morning, no bunching anymore! she had pooped in my bed, 2 verysmall poops! its an improvement! she's still not eating! Im gona go tryand feed her some of her favorite right now!! my baby's nottoo happy with me right now:(I will update!!!!

Yay!

Poops in the bed are good, and sprawling out is a sign that she's not in pain. :)

Keep up the pineapple juice, and the whole regiment, luna21. You'redoing a Great Job! My suggestion would be that you not stop thetreatments until she's pooping and eating on her own.

The other option is you could make a "pellet slurry". It is her pelletssoaked in water, and when mushy, put them in the syringe and give themto her that way.

Keep us posted!

P.S. Don't confuse BunBun's feelings.

It's not you she's not happy with, it's what she's going through and the process.

No doubt, when this is over, she'll be much closer and more trusting of you.

Please keep us updated.

The fact that she had 2 small poops says something got through. I have hope.

:)she had abit of mushed up pelletswith water!!! and a little bite of a banana!! she is restingcomfortably right now!! I haven't seen anymore poops since those 2little ones this morning !! thankyou for ure support and coachingCarolyn;)me and bunbun really appreciate it!! I will let uknow what happens!

Don't you give up, Luna21.

You still have to keep up the treatments every bit as much. We're not out of the woods.

I'm with you and checking on you, so keep me updated.

Prayers for bunbun and Mom continue. Keep on the schedule and thetreatments, no matter how much you both hate it. You'll pull throughthis together.

Love,
-Carolyn

Have you gotten the tetracycline? I had put a pinch of it in with the pineapple juice in the syringe.

* * * * * * * * *

Pam,

Would you suggest that a pinch of it be used now?

Luna21, just sawthe post...my gosh, here we go again! Maybe we should all shave thesebunnies! You hang in there and follow Carolyn'sadvice. She went through all of this and knows her stuff. I think shecould recite it in her sleep. Keep the faith and stick with it. Bunbunwill get through this.

Carolyn, did you get a chance to readGabby's thoughts on the baby food? Just wondering if there might besome of those veggies in baby-food form, especially the first stages, that are so smooth that might be easy to syringe feed and work well inthis situation??? There are organic, no salt, nopreservative, blah, blah, blah, baby foods... All readyprepared...might be more tempting to a sickbunny....-Raspberry

I did see Gabby's note, RaspberrySwirl, and Itrust her implicitly. Whenever she gives advice, I always take note. She has helped more rabbits defy the odds that were against them. Sheknows all about staying up all night and nursing rabbits. She's done iton many occasions.
