Fear of the "Snack Shack?"

So, today I was picking up some more food for Oswald and I saw one of these:

It's an "Ecotritian Snack Shack." I thought it looked like Oswald might have a lot of fun with it, so I picked one up (the large version). I've been trying to switch the toys and accessories that I use in his cage so he doesn't get bored, so I replaced the arch of rainbow chewsticks ( Seen Here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aeposten/192900905/in/set-72157594207202436/ ) with the "Snack Shack."

Well, Oswald seems to be VERY upset about his new snack shack. He took all of his toys out of his giant cardboard tube (which he NEVER does. He's an extremely neat rabbit.) and now he's hiding in it and won't come out, unless I remove the "snack Shack."

Has anyone ever had a similar reaction to this, or any other toy? I won't put it in there if it makes him that upset, but it WAS kind of pricey and I'd like to be able to use it for something . . . Any ideas?

Aw, poor Oswald!

Is it in his cage? What if you put it in an open play area and let him inspect it on his own terms?

I probably should have done that in the first place. I was just so excited to give it to him.

I have it out on the floor now, so far he won't go anywhere near it, but that may change.

He enjoys the large paper bag it was packed in much more than the snack shack itself.

Devon is always afraid of new things, so I don't think Oswalds reaction is abnormal. By the way, I saw an ad in a magazine and it looks like fun!

Mine have the Snak Shak too. Sophie likes toclimb on top of it and tear the straw roof apart. I had itin their pen at first. I thought they might go inside it, but theynever have. They have the econutrition log too,andApollochewed the entire bottom out. If the snakshak/log ever gets wet though, it stains the floor red. :shock:

Ohh that looks cool,i just wish that we could get all those fun things over here for our bunnies,it's just not fair!
