....finches! and steller jays. I just got them yesterday from Native Animals Rescue, where I do rehab work. They're orphans, so I'm their mommy until they can feed themselves. They get fed soaked up cat food, every hour. They're just as much (or more) work than a human baby! but oh so cute!

Here are the finches...

:faint: THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!

I'd love to care for orphaned wild babies.. it would be so reawrding!!

A few summers ago, a crow got into a blue jay nest and took a baby bird out of it and was flying with it in it's mouth. It dropped it on a bush (thankfully!). We managed to catch it (it had it's downy feathers, so wasn't that young) and brought it to a wild life centre near my house. I'm not sure what happend to it..

What cuties!

You're doing such a great thing Greta. Everytime I find a baby or injured bird, I take it in. Fortunately, I haven't found any in a while. I don't think I would have the time anyway. They are a lot of work, but likeSpring says, it's rewarding.

Good luck on the new kids!
