Spock is a Netherland Dwarf rabbit who was brought to the shelter because of a divorce in the family. He is ridiculously cute with his smooshed in face and two different colored eyes-one blue and one brown. Spock has silky white fur peppered with gray spots on his back. Spock is initially spooked when he is picked up, but after he settles he enjoys being held and petted. Spock’s previous owner reports that he can be a bit of a show-off when allowed to frolic outside of his cage. Spock’s favorite things are not treats. He favors social interaction and exercise, so he should receive ample time to play outside of his cage with his favorite human friends. Spock would be a great choice for first time rabbit owners because of his sweet and mellow disposition. Whether your home is laid back or busy, Spock’s easygoing attitude allows him to adjust to all kinds of environments.

Hi Peter!

I can't believe how cute Spock is!So glad things are working out. :)

Lydia in the shelter pics looks just like the little lop I rescued.

Things are going well there, too.I figured seeing as she kept jumping the fence to visit Radar, she couldn't be too worried about being harassed, so I just left the gate open. Its a big enough room with enough places to hide that it seemed safe enough.

Sure enough, there's been no fighting, and I haven't even seen any more aggressive mounting. But they both keep sticking their heads down in front of each other and nobody's taking the first lick!! Guess they'll have to sort that out. But even if they're not best buddies (yet) they are at least 'friends with issues'. Hopefully all of our guys will have it all sorted out in no time and begin co-habiting!

Thanks so much for the update, and the good news!

Hi Peter

My advice is just to persevere with the bonding and take it a stage at a time. My bunnies took time to bond but now they're the best of friends.

As for Spock's toilet habits - he's probably terribly confused with all this upheaval and the new lady in his life - all of a sudden everything's changed for him, I'm sure he'll get the idea about the litter tray eventually.

Congratulations on getting a pal for Faye. Once they have fully bonded and you see them chilling out together you will be really pleased you got Spock. I don't think anyone appreciates how much bunnies love having a friend until they've seen a successfully bonded pair.
