I thought I'd start a thread for lionheads sincethey sometimes have different needs than other bunnies - and I reallybelieve different breeds have different personalities in general.

So...for other lionhead slaves...here are some questions..

How often do you groom your lionhead?

Does your lionhead have any special toys?

Anything special you'd like to share about your lionhead?

I'm sure others will have things they'd like to share too!

Heya,

I don't breed but (by coincidence) all the bunnies I've had in my adultlife have been lionheads. I'm sure it's not exclusive to the lionheadbreed but I have identified the following characteristics:

Fussy eating: 'I know I liked carrot yesterday but today it's just horrid!'

Feng Shui: 'All my cardboard furniture will be moved around my house*every*day and will ALWAYS be in the wrong place if mummy tidies up'

Multiple personality: 'Ah, good morning, world! How shall I feel today, grumpy?, joyous?, cuddly? or just plain evil?'

Playful: 'Mummy, Mummy, let's play....hide the poops! Warmer, warmer -there they are - under the TV!'

Please tell me I'm not alone

peg, since you breed lionheads, i havea serious question. why do lionhead babies lookdeformed?? alot of the pics ive seen they look like littlealiens. most babies, from other breeds are pudgylooking, but lionheads just look weird. can youhelp answer this question??

I already answered this on your otherthread. I may look later to see if I can pull up some photosof babies as they've grown and show how they've changed.

I groom my lionheads at least once every otherweek, usually once a week. I am just picky and enjoy taking them outand handling them. We also give our bunnies the littleplastic balls with bells inside the ones that are for cats. They lovethose. We also give timothy cubes or on occasion alfalfa cubes. Withtheir hay they can throw the cubes around and gnaw on them all day.Great for the teeth.

How often do you groom your lionhead?I dont' really need to groom Iszy. She's pretty good at doingthat herself. I do have to clean her eyes out quitea bit.

Does your lionhead have any special toys? Iszy likes to hide in her carpeted cat tower. :)

Anything special you'd like to share about your lionhead? Iszy is my Little Miss Independent.

Lisa I like the body type and head on your rabbit. She's pretty. How long have you had her?

I don't brush their manes unless it's matted. So, there's a good chance they won't lose it. it's so hard for them to keep it.
