All three of my rabbits are incredibly gentle when babies and toddlers visit.

Just curious, how are your rabbits with your infants and toddlers?

Apollo was amazing with little ones. Iswear I think he preferred htem over older kids and adults. He wouldseek them out.

Otis is also wonderful with little ones. No matter how muchthey mush on him, poke and prod, he never moves, just takes it all in.

They rest of my bunch high tail itand hide if little ones come over.

I have 5 grandchildren ages 7 months,5yrs,6yrs,7yrs and 8yrs .
My rabbits all enjoy gentle attention from them and will even sitquietly for the 7 month old to run his little hand across their fur topet them.
It seems like they have an instinct to be gentle with the baby.

Agreed My 8 year old is well toleratedby even the most snotty inmy bunch , Even miss snottypants will succumb to her trancing her .I think its because most kids send of acalmoing electrical currantbunnies find pleasing.

I have an 7 month old baby and I did notintroduce them with the bunny yet. The baby sawthe bunny andcrowls to it every chance he gets, but I am not sure how the bunny willreact. It tookChernish couple of month before he stoppedbiting my husband and me.

Freddy loooooves little kids .. well...i dontknow if he actually loves them or loves to torture them LOL .... he andmy 4 y.o. brother chase eachother around constantly .....my brotheralways laughs when freddy licks his face ..i told him it's b/c hetastes like candy :D

They're verygentle with kids. They approach more slowly, and will sit throughlittle hands rubbing noses and stroking ears. Rex once hunkered down atthe park to let some little boy pet him :)

I think they sense something about kids, it's really quite amazing to witness.

Some of the local kids used to come and see my first rabbit, Fudge, and she was wonderful with them, letting them pet her.

Pernod and Perry are more cautious, though they will allow the kids to give them a raisin or two :D

Daisy and Buster are fine with all three of the kids. They wont letthem pet them though.

Snowy however is good with Alyssa but always bites Caitlyn because shewants to tag along with her big sis Lyssiewhen we clean himout and that. He's really nasty with her and digs his teeth into her. Ireally don't know why that is, maybe its the whole baby smellthing:dunno:. I have to keep her away from him. Keira hasnever been near them I don't want to take that risk.

I've found this too. CupCake is not fond ofbeing petted but will come right over to my little sister for rubs andkisses. BlueBelle is also surprisingly gentle, but will only take somuch before she runs off. My little cousin will come over occasionallyand she'll pet them and then pull her hand away and start laughing. Itis so cute to watch she is almost afraid to touch them but they goright over to her looking for more! The only problem is I never seem tohave my camera handy when these things are happening. :disgust:

Buster, and Tucker, thump, and hide when smallchildren come over, Emma LOVES babies and children. (which is probablya good thing since she'll be rooming with the new baby when shecomes...)

It's really funny, Buster and Tucker, LOVE dogs, and Emma is TERRIFIED of them.

I think it has alot to do with socialization as babies... Buster andTucker were with Daytona from the very beginning, but not really aroundsmall children. Emma, noone knows really for sure of her background, but in her foster home she had no dogs, but 2 rambunctious small boys.

Maybe it's to do with the size of the bunnies as well. I remmebereading a post on here a while ago, asking what your bunniespersonalities were like, and most people said, their small bunns werevery timid, and shy, where as their bigger bunns were not...

Very intresting question...

Peabody seems to prefer theirattention. While he tends to lunge at my hand whenIreach in for his dish he'll sit completely still if Brooke doesit. He use to be a classroom bunny so I just figured it wasbecause of that. When he's out of the cage he likes to followthe kids around. He's quick to come out of hiding when theyenter the room or quick to the cage door if they stop in front of it.

While he does love us all I feel he really loves the kids the most which is just fine as he is Brooke's bunny.

Lucy and oreo do great with kids. Halloween 04'we took them out and they would let everyone hold them and pet them. And my 1st bun Tinkerbell was great with kids also, she would justlounge and let them give her pets and kisses. She was great with mycousin Jared(age 2 at the time) she would let him pick her up any wayhe wanted and just loved him to death.

Well 3 of mine are tested with kids, Bella hasntbeen allowed to come out into the main room yet cause of quarenteen. For the most part mine are great with the kids, BUT if they ooops withNadie especially he will let them know it. Lex has a scratch that goesfrom just below her elbow to her wrist because she tried picking upNadie when he didnt want to be. Now Lex is 4 and knows better but shelost her brain for a couple i think. Also we have had one issue withNadie biteing Z, but I am still convinced that he did something to therabbit first. As Nadie is a really even tempered bunny. He has onlynibbled me once, and I think it was more grooming than anything cause iwas flea spraying him at the time and combing him out.

Celest and bits are really good with the kids, Bits thinks she is akitten I swear Lex mushes her so much lol. But I think in the long runthat will make for a more social bunny lol.
