I havea question. I know that it isnormal for them to have them night poops but it really reaks though. Itried everything. I have had 2 buns and had smelled their poops and itdoes not reak like his.

Will neutering help tone down the poop smells not just the urine smell. His urine is fine.

SPM, are you sure it's the poos, and not thescent glands? I have a buck that is a very smelly(sp?) boy, and itdoesn't matter what we do, he just stinks. This only happenedafter he reached maturity.

I jsut plugged in a popuri liquid burner thing in our bedroom and nowthe whole apt smells like pine. I am trying to work things out.

Maybeit's a black and white bunny thing because Baby does ittoo and she's a spayed female. They are, after all, the colorof skunks!

Yes, it does tend to dissipate after a minute or two.

Kevin always says, "Ew - somebunny sprayed" and I have to remind him females don't do that (well, at least mine don't).

How often do you clean his scent glands SPM? Iclean theirs out when ever they get a nail clipping (about every 5weeks) and if i start smelling anything funky I check for any waxybuild up..

I have no clue where to find it. Plus he willhate me for cleaning down there or touching it. If you know a link towhere to find it and how. Great I can start on that tonight somehow.

I think we may have found your problem...

...the scent glands are on both sides of his genital/anal area ....youhave to gently pull open the pocket so you can clean out all the waxyresidue ..its usually a yuky brown almosy red sometimes....

I would definately reccommend having DJ hold him while you clean orvice-versa since you mentioned hes not crazy about being on his back

I use a cotton ball with a small amount of baby oil on it and gently swab the area until all the gunk is gone..

..oh oh and youll also see something in there that looks almost like a pimple..thats normal .. dont try to get rid of it lol

Uhhhh, I never bargained for this.

I have to clean down there?!

I agree. Ugh I hate doing the piggies cause I thought they arejust as bad as can be. ugh. Wish me luck cause once the towels are donedrying I will be bunny burrito him so I can fight with him to clean itout. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I need surgical gloves so I can clean it butdon't have any.

I forget how old he is...BUT....you have toteach him to be held. I wish I'd been more forceful w/ Tinywhen he was younger and smaller...now that he's around 18 pounds it ishard.

Tiny is learning to let me hold him and he doesn't fight nearly as much- only if he feels scared (but he's learning to trust me).

I'm very serious though - you need to pick him up several times a dayand insist that he let you hold him. Don't let him get to be18 pounds and fighting you if you try to give him medicine.

I *think* I could possibly syringe medicine down Tiny's throat now if Ihad to. It would still be a struggle - but I'd come out of itwith all my body parts intact (although they might be scratched) butits taken me a while to get him to that point because I didn't startwhen he was young.

Angel: Delilah too has gone from a sweet cuddlybaby to a bear when she has to be held, but you have to doit. I'm forceful with her and Shawn freaks out that I'm goingto hurt her, but I don't, it looks like it, but I don't.

I didn't even think of his scent glands when I e-mailed you.I've seriously only cleaned Abby's once or twice since I got her fromyou, but the boys, they are a different story. Like FM, I domine when I do a nail clip and all are currently due.
