Rabbit Cut While Grooming

Hello. I was shaving my fuzzy lop rabbit, Teddy (almost 2 years old) with my dad, and he jumped, causing the clippers to cut him in four places at once. I’ve tried to stay calm and I’ve moved him from his usual 6 by 6 pen to a 4 by 2 pen (he’s an indoor rabbit) that’s cleaner to help prevent infection as well as cleaned his litter box. I bought some antiseptic free neosporin and put it on the wounds. It didn’t break the first layer of skin, and he’s not bleeding and acting fine but I am concerned. I’m 14, and I pay for all of his expenses so while I do have around 750$ saved up in case of emergency vet visits, I would prefer not to have to make a trip if possible. Of course, I have a vet I can go to if needed and Teddys health is my top priority, I’ve never dealt with something like this before and I’m looking for advise on how to treat this or help his recovery! Any help would be greatly appreciated. He’s currently hopping around in his new pen, a bit quiet but overall not showing much distress but I know rabbits hide their symptoms. The cuts are near is front armpit.

If it's deep, to the layer below the skin, you'll need a rabbit vet to take a look at it. But if it's just the surface of the skin and doesn't go to the layer below, and isn't a deep wound, it may be fine keeping an eye on it to make sure it heals ok. Though when in doubt, it's best to consult with a knowledgeable rabbit vet.

Why don't you send an email to your vet and include the photos you posted here. They can then give you advice on how to care for wounds or inform you if bun needs to be brought in.
