Thank you so much for the valuable information!
Did Ellie have to have an X-ray of her teeth? My doctor told me to take 3 X-rays to check for an abscess. In the case of an abscess, rabbits will have to have the tooth extracted :(
I really hope my bunny - Mochi just has overgrown teeth!

I think the vet did an xray in July when I initially took her. They did do an xray on Pippi when she had her tooth extracted, and the abscess was this big black blob surrounding her poor tooth. 😞

If they do extract the tooth, the biggest thing is to have something soft for your bun to eat afterwards. I went for some banana, but it was still a couple hours before she wanted to eat anything. Make sure to keep an eye on the extraction site, so you can let he vet know asap if anything happens (like, more infection coming out). Since your vet is kind of far away, make sure you have antibiotics, and it would be a good idea to order some probiotics for afterward (I use Benebac, and buy it from Amazon), so you can help your bun get the good bacteria back.

I hope your appointment is more like Ellie's, though, and they just need to file some teeth. When is your appointment? I will keep your sweet bunny in my thoughts, and send good vibes that all goes well! ❤️
Thank you very much for your advices and wishes. The doctor who will do this procedure was off duty for 2 weeks so I have been waiting. I hope Mochi's teeth just need to be filed.

I've been quite busy lately so I haven't been able to keep up with your comment, I'm really sorry for the late reply.

I hope that your sweet Ellie lives a long, healthy and happy life!

Hi, if you don't mind, can I have a question? Did your babies have to be anesthetized during the X-ray?
