Hello, This is my neighbor's rabbit that I am watching, but I noticed that he is missing fur under his chin. Does anyone know what this could be?

It doesn't look like a health issue that I can tell, like can happen with drooling from a dental issue or a lump or wound from an abscess.

The thin fur under the chin could be from his chin rubbing to scent mark, or it could be from his chin rubbing too much on his food or water dish. Do you know if he's neutered?

He is not neutered. so maybe it is the scent thing

If there isn't any drooling, consistently wet fur, lumps, or irritated sore skin, rubbing the chin to scent mark would be my guess.
