Does anyone have a rabbit that snores? My 1.5 year old has been snoring since I got her at 10 weeks. Obviously, she isn’t sick but I’m just wondering how common this is. I have her sister also, and she is a very quiet sleeper.

Oh, snoring buns! I remember there used to be a thread about it.
My first boy was a snoring one ever since we got him. We were so spooked when we first noticed but later it was just a sight that amused others and adored us.
Some sources have said that snoring might indicate respiratory issues when occurring out of nowhere but could just as well be usual snoring when doing it ever since the beginning. I can't find the source material so i might be remembering wrong, but it's something.
I don't know of many rabbits who healthily snore though- of the four i've had, and of the roughly 15 kits and mums i'd seen sleeping at my aunt's, Musti was the only snoring one. Went to the docs for vaccines and checkups-not once did the vets find anything wrong with his respiration. Wish i could attach a small snippet of audio from his snoring but the file format isn't supported now.

I've had two that snored their whole life since babies. Both lived to be 9 with no other respiratory issues during their life.
Snoring could indicate a health problem, but that's usually more if it's something new a rabbits doing and not something they've done their whole life.

It’s adorable especially when she wakes herself up. It’s not loud most of the time just more like a whistle. She is very healthy and her vet said she is fine when I took her in for her shots. I’ve just never had or heard of a bunny that snores.
We've had 2 that snored and they were also world class sleepers. We don't know how old Ted was as he was a rescue, but he wasn't young and was with us for more than 10 years and he was a really big lop. Our avatar, Nikki, was only 10 when she went to the bridge--a Netherland and mini mix, she was on the small side, but, she was also a world class sleeper. Sure do miss them. By "world class sleeper" I mean that they both slept quite a bit more than all our other bunnies. Our Great Dane snores so much he could do sound bytes as a sawmill.

My dwarf mix (avatar pic) is almost six and has always snored. She is pretty loud! She also moves her mouth when in a deep sleep. She's a small bunny too, not overweight at all.

I had a Holland lop. Oliver always snored, loud. He lived to be 13 yrs. old.
