Have they gone back to normal, and has this ever happened before? Did your rabbit happen to be overly warm when it happened, like from running around? Are you seeing any other symptoms, especially after he's been running or been stressed; symptoms like protruding third eyelids, labored or noisy breathing, excessive sneezing, mouth breathing, seeming to always want to rest with his head in an elevated position, or any other odd symtoms or behavior that you think could be health related? Has he been scratching at his ears excessively at all, or have signs of crusts or wax build up in his ears?

It eventually went away, but it took like 3 or 4 hours. He acts fine, even doing zoomies and jumping around like everything's normal. it has happened before, but it usually only lasts a minute or two and its like once every 2 weeks or so.

If you notice it after he's been running around and getting hot, then I would say it's likely due to that. Blood flow increases in the ears to help cool a rabbit down, and this extra blood flow could make the ears heavier until the rabbit cools down. Though there is also the possibility it's health related.

If there are no crusts in the ears, then ear mites aren't as likely a cause. But being part flemish, that breed can be prone to heart issues, which can be a cause for ear tips drooping. I'm not sure if it's due to edema from the heart not functioning properly, or from blood flow and blood pressure issues related to the heart problems. So if you ever notice any of the other symptoms like the ones I listed above, exercise intolerance, foaming around the nose/mouth, or any other odd symptoms and changes of behavior, it may be needed to get your bun checked out by a knowledgeable rabbit vet. If it is a heart issue, there are heart meds rabbits can be put on to improve the hearts function.

This is just a possibility based on the genetic tendencies of the flemish breed. If there are no other symptoms, the most common cause would be from increased blood flow from a bun getting overly warm.

I see this now and then with my rabbits, usually when it's rather warm, I think. If nothing else is off I'm not concerned about it.
