i was just checking my rabbit's litterbox and found a LOT of gnats flying around it. can these hurt her at all or cause flystrike? i just cleaned it again but now they're flying around her pen. how can i get rid of them? her pen is not dirty at all and her blankets were just changed out yesterday. are gnats just attracted to the rabbit poop?

We had an outbreak of gnats around here too, a few weeks ago. I think they're attracted to the moisture maybe. I don't know of any problems they cause, other than being generally annoying.

We bought some sort of UV light gnat killer machine to get rid of ours. Maybe try Google to find ways on how to get rid of them.

Gnats cannot cause flystrike. Flystrike is when flies lay eggs in the rabbit poo (whether in a litterbox or if a rabbit has poo stuck to their fur). Then when the eggs hatch (become maggots), the maggots eat away at the rabbit from the inside.
