Meet Nelli

She is actually my son’s GF’s rabbit so by default, she’s mine. He begged to get her for said GF, but the novelty soon wore off. Teenagers! I have become rather taken with her idiosyncrasies. I have been learning a lot from the site! I never knew rabbits were so complicated. Does anyone know what kind of rabbit she is? I believe she’s about 9-10 months old. I quickly learned about needing hay for the majority of her diet, greens second and then pellets. (They had only purchased pellets.) We live in Nebraska where it gets pretty hot in the summer, so I’ve been giving her frozen water bottles and misting her ears, which I learned on this site (thank you!).

I think she needs some base of ears scratches. Pretty bunny.

She loves that, and having her cheeks rubbed. I can tell she’s in the mood for it when she lowers her head and chest down and goes really still. They do have definite ways of making their feelings known! I think she’s pretty too. Thank you!
