Nail clipping issues

Emma is my bun. She's a Dutch bunny and very hyper. I have tried everything I feel. I have watched videos upon videos everyone's bunny seems so relaxed not Emma. But everytime I try to grab her paw she jumps up immediately and runs away. Iv tried treats I've tried waiting for her to lay down and relax nothing seems to help.

I understand your difficulty. I have had a few difficult buns as well. I will have to say that the following video is really a solution. I know you'll think (like I did) that your rabbit will never behave the way the one in this video does. The one in the video sure seems calm. HOWEVER, the key is what she shows and explains. She came up with this particular method when having to work with all kinds of rabbits at a rescue. She had to find a way to clip nails by herself with the most difficult rabbits.

So, the key is to follow e v e r y t h i n g in the way shown -- use a table, have it at the right height, position rabbit the same way, do the "press, press, clip" thing, and even do the back leg shaky thing.

I definitely had my doubts with my rabbit, but I was determined to follow her advice precisely. (must've watched the video half a dozen times to get it all down) It really did work!

With my Netherland dwarf I find it best to cuddle him either under my dressing gown or in a “bunny wrap” with one paw out at a time.
Make sure before actually cutting to apply pressure on the scissors and ensure there is not reaction indicating pain and if no indication of pain continue the pressure/cut

This will help tremendously with avoiding their quick which can bleed an awful lot (use corn starch on nail tip as soon as possible if this does happen to stop the bleeding)

Thank you will try. Definitely bunny wrap before she go's nuts lol but maybe this time she will let me.
