Hi everyone,
My Holland lop doe, Beatrix, delivered 2 healthy babies last night. All seemed well although I did find it odd she only had 2 little ones because she is a pro-momma and has had between 6-8 babies before. When I got home from school I felt her belly just to make sure there were no more babies, and what do you know... I can feel a least one little baby moving around and kicking on one side still (yes, I'm positive they are babies and not just her digestion). I honestly thought this was impossible. Could it be stalled labor?? I'm assuming the baby is not stuck as it would have already been deceased (I have had much difficulty with stuck kits in the past with my other doe). Beatrix seems to be acting normal, although a little while ago she kept laying down and getting up. I have given her a few handfuls of kale, which she ate happily, and then have left her alone as not to disturb her. Any help is much appreciated!
