Sorry, I know that this is a strange question, and I might not have put it in the right place, but I was wondering.....can I give my rabbit a kiss?

Is it bad, because i might have some harmful bacteria on me, or is it completely fine? I know that this is a bit of a silly question, but still, I don't know! Also is it different for newborn rabbits? Like I know that you can kiss your dog or cat or even your bird! But you can't kiss a baby bird....(and who would want to- they are featherless and kind of ugly!). So can I kiss a baby/adult rabbit? Or is it something like 'yes, but not on their face, only on the top of their head'? I'm sorry for this really weird question, but I'm wondering about it!

Oh wow, thank you so much! Ok, I'm glad I can kiss my rabbits, because I have to admit that I already do! 😆 But that thing in the article about cold sores is very interesting! Thank you so much! :)

Hahah, thank you!! I thought it was fine, but my sister wasn’t sure...you have a super cute bunny btw!!!!

Normally not a problem. But yes, if you have cold sores, don't do it and always wash your hands prior to handling, as the herpes simplex virus can be fatal to rabbits that contract it. Also if you are immunocompromised, e. cuniculi can in rare instances be a risk to humans if your rabbit is a carrier.

I get cold sores very rarely, but I always air-kiss my buns and rub my cheek on them instead of kissing, just in case I have a cold sore and not noticed it, because I’m completely paranoid about making them sick.

I would love to fully snuggle my face in though and kiss their little heads!❣️

I kiss mine all the time also. Can someone tell me what kind he is idk and idk how old he is also

He's dutch breed, or a mix with dutch breed. Unless a rabbit isn't fully matured yet, there's really no way to determine age.
I appericate it allot thank u? Now do u know what ear mitt medicine I can use for him and my fiance squirrel

A qualified DVM, rabbit-savvy DVM, can give an estimate on age. We kiss our furry companions all the time!

One of my girl's would tooth purr after getting smooched on the nose or forehead! Many kisses planted to her ears and forehead. So nice to learn others kiss their fur-babies.
