Hi guys,
I have a female holland lop named Charli. Charli was spayed the end of December 2020 and has been free roam since I've adopter her from the shelter. When I first got her she had never seen a litter box in her life and was 9 months old. I began litter training immediately and got her spayed in the mean time. She was great for a while, but has recently unlearned her litter habbits. I thought spaying was supposed to fix this? She mostly pees in her box (occasionally on rug), but I clean it immediately if she does and get rid of her scent in that place. She's been pooping quite a bit around my room, and I am trying to be persistent to help her relearn, but do you have any suggestions for me to do? She will be 1 in about a week if that helps.

Start small. Offering too much space too soon often ends up in potty accidents. Confine her to a small space (an ex-pen, perhaps) with a roomy litter box. She should remain in the space until she is consistent with her potty habits. Once she is consistent, then the space can be expanded in small increments.

The idea here is to slowly and gradually expand her roaming area provided she is being consistent with her potty habits.

Here is some more (from my website) on potty training. The litter box set-up itself and its maintenance can also play an important role in success.

Thank you so much I will try that. I originally had 2 litter boxes in my entire room, but I will purchase an x-pen (over 24in) and try that. I had one when I first got her, but it was only 24 inches high and she quickly learned how to jump over that.

I wouldn't go less than 30" but taller might be better. The smaller rabbits tend to be able to jump higher. (The world record is around 39")
