I noticed one of my rabbits didn't want any pellets this morning and she was hiding behind the sofa, I gave her some gas drops and massaged her belly and she did a few enormous egg shaped poops in my lap which I've attached a picture of to compare with her normal sized ones. I can't get to a vet until this afternoon (currently late morning) as my partner's at work with the car and it would be a 20 minute walk in the freezing cold which I don't think would do her any favours.
I read that egg shaped poops can be a sign of megacolon but she's 4 and has never had that kind of poop before, plus they're golden and pretty hard, the same consistency as regular poop.
A possible thing that could've stressed her out is I'm trying to bond her with a new boyfriend (we lost one not lot ago to bloat and I'm desperate for it not to happen again)
Also she's just started going through an enormous moult and she's a lionhead, so I'm worried she has a partial blockage from all the hair. Am I right in thinking it's not a full blockage as long as she is pooping a little bit? I'm trying to figure out if there's anything extra I can do while I'm waiting to get to the vet other than gas drops and massages.
She's had a little drink and I managed to tempt her with a little bit of apple, I've given her some critical care too but I think most of that just went on her face as she's a really strong wriggler.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
