My rabbit has always had perfect and clear eyes but two weeks ago, the same day my other bunny (& her sister) died, one of her eyes dropped a tear and became a bit crusty, 303BA8CD-AFC5-4DF6-B87C-B0364FE216BB.jpeg 303BA8CD-AFC5-4DF6-B87C-B0364FE216BB.jpeg I haven’t seen anymore tears but it just looks a bit crustier each time I see her. She’s eating and drinking fine and doing blinkies. I’m not sure she even has anything wrong, I just don’t want to lose her too.

From the photos, it just looks like normal crusties similar to what people get in the morning. You can use a damp cloth and wipe it for him. Some rabbits are good at cleaning it themselves. Some are particularly weepy and their bondmate will clean it for them.

I'd still be concerned about what caused the other two rabbits to die. Do you know the cause? If it was something contagious, then the other may have it as well. The 'crusties' may or may not be related.

Only one rabbit has died, which is her sister. Sorry I wasn’t clear about that. She died of distention of the stomach. She was running around playing and eating then within a couple of hours i look over and she is just in a ball and you can just see she is in pain. I had to put her down less then 12 hours later, she was so advanced. I feel like I gave her everything right and yet I feel guilty like I could have done more. It was the first and only time she was ever sick.
