Hi,

Ok, that's maybe more of a dog topic...

Again, I have the dog of a friend here while they are skiing, a 5yo 75lbs Collie, very shy and not an outgoing personalty. A rescue adopted about 5 months ago. It's the 3rd time she's here and only now starts to noticeable open up. Had her for weekends, but now for more than a week.

Well, she tries to be more friendly to the rabbits too, which aren't interested in her and ignore her at best. But it's hard to ignore it when 10lbs bunny lounges stretched out on the kitchen floor and a 75lbs dog sticks her nose under his tail - they just hop away when it get's too much, out to their base in the vestibule through the cat flap, leaving a whining dog behind.

Until now I had her only over weekends, but this time for a week, and I have to go to work and leave them alone for 9 hours. I would need to teach her to go through a curtain tomorrow if I leave the back door open for her to get out during the day (did cut a hole into that door for the rabbits), not sure if that works out. Locking her in for that time doesn't feel great to me.

She's a nice dog sure, no hunting instinct whatsoever, it's just a nagging feeling, I can't completly fathom her character behind her shyness. And the other 2 dogs I had here simply and completly ignored the rabbits or got out of their way, a dog trying to interact with the rabbits (they take it cool) is something new for me.

That's not really a question here, but I wouldn't mind random thoughts on that topic.
