My 11 month spayed Flemish Giant has been free roam since I got her at 5 months. She was perfectly litter box trained in no time so I removed her cage and she only has a litter box in my/her bedroom.

Last month I downsized to a smaller apartment and, since moving, she has started peeing on my bed. I've tried all the suggestions and continue to research but nothing is really working. She will do great for awhile and then I'll have company over or my daughters dog will come in while they visit .. who knows what sets it off. I'm very sick of washing my bed linens so often.

Anyway. We are leaving for 8 days in April flying to California for a wedding. I have the option of boarding her or having a pet walker check in on her 2-3 times a day.

Additionally ... I have a German Shepherd and she now sleeps in my bedroom since the move (only because bunny was peeing on my bed anyway so that didn't start it). In fact, they sleep together at the foot of my bed BUT when I am not home I close the door to the bedroom #1 because I don't trust my dog with her while I'm gone and #2 I don't want her to start peeing in other areas of the house like my couch ... acting out like she is doing on my bed.

I knew moving would upset things but I'm really disappointed that she litter box trained so easily when I first got her and now, since moving, she's peeing on my bed.

Questions ... do you think I should put her cage back up? She's been free roaming and really pitches a fit to be locked up. I certainly can't keep her locked up the entire time I'm gone. But I left the door opened to her cage and maybe just having that in my room may help.

If I could fine a vet to board her ... would that be less stressful overall for her than keeping her in my bedroom with a pet walker checking in for those 8 days?

I am just so afraid this trip is going to set her off and I will really loose heart if she continues to loose her litter box habits.
