So my female rabbit which I adopted on 26th September 2019 was pregnant and have birth to four beautiful kits on 19th November 2019. I took them to the vets, it's two boys, two girls. I kept them together untill 8 weeks. Although had taken one boy away a few days before since he started humping the girls. We put him back since he wasn't getting his milk.

The boys and girls are now separate but my female rabbit (the mum) hasn't ever had a period since I got her. Neither her female babies. I'm not sure if any are pregnant or not. I doubt the babies are since they are still only young (about 3 months) but my female rabbit who is almost 2 years old has been building a nest/burrow for the past week. Which she had done with her other kits. I've also noticed though that when she was pregnant last time she was very friendly. And she's being very friendly right now. Since we where told when she isn't pregnant she is very aggressive and pounces and grunts at you. Although there is some sort of nest in there she hasn't pulled out any fur. I'm not sure if she is or not, but if she is do I need to delete her from her two female babies since they are living together happily.
Thank you so much and I will be very happy for a reply and if any are pregnant I will update you all on that.♥️

Bunnies don’t get period, they aren’t like dogs. Also female bunnies that are not spayed can get fake pregnancy, they will act as if they have kits. That’s because of hormones.

Bunnies can get pregnant at 12 weeks old (3 months). If the buck was with their mom at 12 weeks they can had made her pregnant again.

At 7 or 8 weeks the kits can live away from their mom and shouldn’t live with other bunnies with different sex.

Hi, as Hermelin said rabbits don't have periods, but if you keep her separately from male rabbits she had no chance to get pregnant.
As I understand you got her 26 September and she gave birth on 19 November so you bred her? Because pregnancy is usually 31 days (well between 28 and 36 days) so she had a contact with a male rabbit around 19 October. Are there more male rabbits around? How old are the babies now in weeks and when exactly boys were separated? Depending on their individual development some boys can be very early bloomers and can actually get pregnant an adult rabbit when they are 10 week old, but 7 weeks would be a bit too early imo.

I didn't breed her they said she may have been pregnant before I got her I don't exactly know when the kits where born since they where a surprise I just first saw them on the 19th November and they already had fur by then

I had an old doe that always had fake pregnancies. It was sad watching het year after yesr. I got her a 2 month old kit as a foster baby. 6 weeks later she had some vaginal blood and rushed her to vet, fearing cancer. She was in labor, her foster kit apparently did this as he was the only male. You can feel low in the pelvis if your rabbit is pregnant, it feels like grapes. Unless you know what you are doing, let a vet do this.
Not only do bunnies not have periods, they are induced ovulators. They need the stimulation from a male to become ready.

I Originally thought her last surprise litter was a false pregnancy since I was told she may be pregnant but there wa never anything there then on the 19th November I found four kits which already had lots of fur. I think that she had quite a long pregnancy because I said I was ready and then I thought maybe she's having a false pregnancy but then suddenly I found the four babies so I'm not sure if it'll be a long one again if she is pregnant or not. But I took one of her baby boys away and kept the other one with her and her two baby girls because we didn't know the gender of that one. We phoned the vets up when they were 5-6 weeks old to check their genders but the vets said that they can't check until the kits are 8 weeks. So we had to wait another week or two until we could separate them.

It's nearly 2 months between 26 September and 19 November so if you found babies when they already had fur you can't tell their age, if she was pregnant before 26 September their birth date would be before 26 October so on 19 November they were 3-4 weeks if not more as you don't know exact date of breeding but it was less than 31 days before 26 September.
So if you say one boy started humping girls at 7 weeks they were possibly 10-11 weeks. So they could be not 3 months now but 4, at this age boys could get her pregnant. Or she can have a fake pregnancy because she was around males.
Now, when exactly you separated boys from her? How many days?

About 2-3

About 2-3 weeks ago
With a false pregnancy they usually start showing signs nesting etc around day 17 so might be it or I would say boys were old enough to get her pregnant if they were born before 26 October they are now 4-4.5 months old so 2-3 weeks ago they were 3.5-4 months old.
In theory your young girls also can be pregnant, so if you remember the date when boys were separated just count 31 (up to 40 days, but that would be rather rare) day from it and if no more babies you can be sure they are not pregnant.

I wouldn't stress them with visiting vets now tbh just wait 1-2 weeks and you will know for sure. Give them unlimited hay and make sure there's always lots of drinking water. I would agree with above that you can feel grapes in her belly but only if you have experience if not it would be quite difficult to be sure

Thank you very much. I'll probably wait and not feel for any as I've never done it before. But I was just wondering if all girls are pregnant could all three stay together or if one is pregnant could they still stay together since I don't want to make it unsafe if they are together and can't be if one or more are pregnant.

It is very individual, some females housed together can stay friendly and even help each other raising kits and others can damage kits . If I were in your situation I would probably separate the three females, depending on the size of where you keep them now, even if you can just put some separating panels between them so mother if she's pregnant indeed could feel safe building her nest and giving birth.
Well I have no idea about your hutches if you could post some photo that would possibly help

Btw do you remember if their eyes were open when you found them? They usually open their eyes around day 10 so that would help to estimate their birth date
